I was very pleased with the part I received. It was cost effective, close to the original and fit my 1918 colt perfectly. There was no evidence of green corrosion nor cosmoline. I highly recommend this piece in lieu of the genuine part.

Dropped right in on my ...

Dropped right in on my PT1911. Only issue I have is some grease (or cosmoline) that was on the surface by the lanyard loop. It did not have the green corrosion listed by another reviewer.

This part is well made ...

This part is well made and fairly priced relative to others out there. However the one I received had copious green galvanic corrosion around the base where the loop inserts. Clearly the steels were substantially different and corroding. Midway was cheerful about returning it. Examine yours carefully and make check its condition.
