The Surefire P2X Fury Flashlight uses a high-efficiency, virtually failure-proof LED to deliver 500 lumens of perfectly focused light, qualifying the Fury as a pocket-sized searchlight! The high-strength polymer, micro-textured reflector delivers a smooth, comparatively wide beam with a brighter central area and generous peripheral light. The Fury is activated with a twist-type tailcap switch: press for momentary-on, twist for constant-on. The lightweight yet high-strength aerospace aluminum body is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip and is hard anodized to military specifications for extreme resistance to scratches, abrasion, and corrosion.

I agree with Lee's review 100 percent. I also have both the G2X and the Fury. Both are incredible. I would describe the Fury as a search light suitable for outside use for WET or dark rural areas only. 500 lumens reflecting off a wall or snow will temporarily mess up your vision. The 200 lumen G2X Pro is what I give to my family and friends who work in bad neighborhoods at night. 200 lumens will temporarily blind your attacker. 500 lumens can momentarily blind you! IF your black colored dog likes to escape his back yard, go with the Fury. IMO the G2X PRO and Fury are the 2 best lights made and at a great price to value. Great lights, thanks Midway.

Great for camping and ...

Great for camping and general use. Beam is clean and flawlessly smooth with adequate fill to do most normal outdoor tasks. The 15 lumen setting is perfect for almost all night time activity. It's too bright for certain tasks like 'black out' navigation and map reading, so it's good to carry an extra low-output light for something like that. The 500 lumen setting... awesome! Amazing that a light this small puts out so much light, and with great efficiency. Stated run times are accurate. At the high setting, the head does get very hot if you run it a long time, which is expected. On low, you can run it all night without any problems.High/low switching is done by clicking the tailcap. Once for low, once more for high. The default setting is low, which I like. When it's dark outside, you don't want to get blinded with 500 lumens. Obviously it's not the best choice for a tactical light - you'll want a single output light for that.I have 2 G2X Pros, and this is almost the same size, with a slightly bigger reflector end. It's a bit heavier than the G2X, probably because it has an aluminum body.
