Great scope for the money. I've owned the same model with the target dot reticle for a couple of years and it has worked flawlessly. When I saw the sale on this one I couldn't resist upgrading to a mil-dot reticle for my 22-250 and moving my target dot to my .223. The new scope looks and works just as well as the old one. At this price I wish I could buy 5 more just to keep on hand for my future guns. Comes with nice extras like tactical adjustment knobs, approx. 4" sunshade and decent covers. Clear enough to allow me to find my .22 caliber holes on the paper at 200 yards with ease.

** THE GOOD ** I purchased the Buckmasters 6-18x40 found it to be very clear at all power levels. I know this is not a Target Scope but you can see holes in paper shooting 556/223 with ease out to 150 yards, At 200 it's tough and beyond that you need a Spotting Scope. Adjustments are true and positive. After 2500 Rounds holds zero and not one problem.** NOT SO GOOD ** The Scope comes with a Sun Shade that looks very odd once you install it because Nikon Rolled the body of the Scope at the Lens over and it steps down about 3/16" to the Sun Shade. Very Weird Looking with the Sun Shade on. My other Nikon Scopes are Straight at the end, Not Rolled over like these. I don't know why they did this..Overall very nice Scope: It's a Nikon and you shouldn't expect anything less.

Accurate and Clear Glass

I mounted this to a Remington 700 ADL with weaver Steel Rings- high. It gives outstanding eye relief comfort in natural point of aim and is crystal clear. The only thing I would have changed is 1/4 clicks or .1 mil clicks vs the 1/8 click value it uses. It is my go to optic to put one hole groups at 100yds. It has enough magnification for Varmint / open plains shooting and the Objective is not some 50mm too large type. An Outstanding optic for all around hunting.

I mounted the 6-18x40mm mil.dot on my Remington 700sps varmint 243 Win. sighted it in and love it!!!...@ 100 yards I shot three shots groups under.250'' all afternoon. Its clearer than a lot pricier scopes and very rugged. Came with extra target nobs(they're not listed) and a nice sun shade. Shot groups out to 300 yards and the scope returns to zero every time. Just used it on a red tag hunt and the mil.dot works great to range deer (or anything else)...but must be set on 12x because of the reticle is on the 2nd focal plane. 5Star!!!

This is a very nice scope at a great price. I quickly dialed it in after I mounted it atop my AR 15, using a LaRue Tactical quick release mount. Clear, dead-on accurate, easy to mount, easy to dial in. You can spend a lot more money on optics, but this scope for a varmint rifle is an excellent choice. I can't wait until we head out to the Nevada desert to call in coyotes.

I love this scope! Have it on my Savage Model 25 Ltwt Varm in .223. Can easily see paper holes at 200 yds. Well worth every penny - don't buy cheap! I use their SpotOn ballistic app on my iPhone and it dials me in. Set my zero and it stays there. Adjustments are as noted on the knobs under the caps and easy to make. Nice eye relief and clear view of targets. Looking forward to hitting P-dog town with this in the fall. Comes with removable scope caps front and rear but you'd do well to purchase a set of Butler caps instead.

Have had this scope on my FN PBR .308 for over two years now and it has performed flawlessly. I shoot 50 to 100 rds per week from 200 to 500yrds and when I pull this rifle and scope out of the bag, I know it`s on target. I just use the MilDot for holdover for different ranges and can ding a 6" square steel plate all day long at 500 yrds.
