Great Product

I installed the new spring kit after a light debur and polish and 1,000 dry fires with the factory springs. Don't be afraid of polishing a little, where Ruger's need a little help it is blatantly obvious. Just follow a well reviewed guide. I installed the new springs and applied another 200 dry fires. The reduced pull weight action is smooth, crisp, and consistent. The trigger does not return with the authority of the original springs, it is now similar to a long pull striker-fired DA semi-auto pistol's trigger return. Ofcourse, that is the trade-off for a lighter pull. I have had no failures to fire with the replacement springs to date.

Didn't want to take any ...

Didn't want to take any chances so I spooled up a Youtube video and played along. 10 minutes later, the spring kit was installed with 0 issues. Went from 15 lb. to 10 lb. double action. The action is smooth as butter and double action accuracy was greatly improved. I love my SP101, this just makes it that much more awesome. Thanks Midway!

Bought this kit for my Ruger and installed it myself today, took less than 30 minutes from start to finish and includes losing the pin and having to search to floor for 10 minutes, The kit makes a 100% complete difference in the gun's performance, I chose to use the lighter of the main springs included and after 100 rounds had no FTF upon examining the primers before and after the swap could not tell a bit of difference, 100% worth the money.

For a good price you can take a fair trigger and turn it into a good one. Simple to install, I did it in about 15 min.

I was very happy with the hammer spring. I was not impressed with the trigger return spring, it failed to fully return the trigger when dry firing. I ended up using the old trigger spring and the lighter hammer spring, which created a good combination.

Factory trigger pull kept ...

Factory trigger pull kept getting lighter and lighter. Replaced the hammer spring with the 10# Wilson and it works great. It's light, yet reassuring that it will go bang when I pull the trigger. Oddly, mine came with a 10# trigger return spring. Had no idea how to install it, so I didn't try.

Not a huge difference but still highly recommended for improvement on the double action, especially for the price. Installation of the big spring is a breeze, the small spring is a little tricky but not beyond the capabilities of any novice. The trigger return spring has just enough force without hanging up the trigger, but I still had to polish up the trigger spring well a little bit to keep the plunger from sticking, which I'd recommend in any case on the SP101.

I just installed the # 10 on the trigger and the # 10 on the hammer. This kit made my sp 101 so smooth, I wondered if it would go bang. It does! Great kit! Now I am looking to see what other kits Wilson Combat offers for other revolvers.

Big time improvement over the stock spring kit. Ruger has always been a little rough on the double action. Now shoots smooth and without the jerky action of the original.
