The Vortex Viper PST (Precision Shooting Tactical) Rifle Scope comes with features that are typically only included on scopes in a much higher price range. The optics are fully multi-coated and deliver beautiful detail and color while transmitting 95% of available light. The tactical turrets have audible clicks which allow for precise adjustments to windage and elevation and the tube is purged with Argon gas to eliminate internal fogging and extend the life of the optics. Protective lens covers and a lifetime factory warranty are included.

I bought one of these to put on my Bennelli R1 in 338 Win Mag. I wanted a scope with true 1X capability and this fit the bill. I plan to take this rig Elk Hunting in the fall. It's a little different from my 270 with a leupold 3-9. Where I hunt I've been in heavy brush and sub 100 yard shots at a running animal are common. Each of the last 2 years I've bagged a bull... I'm hoping to go 3 for 3 this year.Overall I like the reticle on this scope. It's bright and clear. The ranging is an added benefit. Fit and finish of the scope is excellent and the glass is as good as my Leupold VX7. In fact it's so good my next purchase will be another Vortex!Eye relief is good... you'll hear things like the Eye box is real nice... Doesn't mean much to me. I do notice parallax a little more on the lower power settings than my 3-9 but it's not a problem with the Benelli. The cheek weld is pretty soft and even with the 338 WM recoil wasn't a problem with my face glued to the stock.This rig shoot's MOA with factory Ammo. It might get better once I start hand loading but for elk it's plenty accurate as is.I would recommend this scope to a friend and happily purchase another one if I find this to be the right set up for the hunting I do. It's a little out of the box for how I normally hunt so I'll know more after this season.

I shot a few 3 Gun ...

I shot a few 3 Gun Matches with this one and it has worked well. I think the optical clarity is right up there with some more expensive 1-4s. My only wish is that the illumination on the reticle was a little brighter in strong sunlight.

We got one today and all I can say is outstanding. The glass was the best I have seen yet on any scope. The light that came into the scope really made it outstanding for easy targeting. I have to say, I can't wait to get the other scopes in and mounted on my long range firearms, and hunting rifles. Vortex hit this one out of the park.
