Cu+2 Copper Remover from Bore Tech is 100% safe for chrome moly and stainless steel, non-hazardous, odor free, biodegradable, ammonia and petroleum free. Cu+2 uses a 2 step process to remove copper fouling completely from the bore;

It Reconfigures the copper's electronic state. Metallic copper with a neutral charge Cu0 is oxidized or broken down into its cupric state, Cu+2.
Then, specially enhanced binding agents act like magents selectively attracting and capturing the copper and removing it from the bore.

Cu+2 also contains a rust preventative which conditions the bore after cleaning.

Cu+2 = works!

This stuff will get ALL the copper out. It does require a lot of soak time but very little cleaning time. I push a few patches through then let it set for a few hours. Repeat that a few times and done. It is also completely safe to leave in the bore. I have left it in the bore for two days with no rust or corrosion problems. It's not the fastest cleaner but it is the most thorough cleaner I have ever used. I have tried most of the heavy ammonia cleaners and they work pretty well but, Cu2 will clean more after they are done. Their carbon cleaner works just as well.
Oh yea, NO brass jags, rods, ect. Or your will get false positives.

Just wanted to update my previous review.It turns out there was that much copper in the barrel.Sweets was showing just a small dot of color - I was assuming that it was simply pushing out some left over from Bore Tech.After leaving Cu+ in the bore for ~ 6 hours [and this is after a LOT of cleaning with Cu+ and Sweets], the patches finally came out clear.I think this also means that Cu+ will get out copper that Sweets has a very hard time with.

No matter how many patches or how long it's used, the patches still come out blue. I am using an aluminum jag.I couldn't believe there was that much copper. So, I dried the bore and switched to Sweets. No blue color!Switched back and forth from Bore Tech to Sweets three times. Always got blue from Bore Tech - no color from Sweets.I'm not saying that Bore Tech Cu remover didn't remove copper - but, for me, it's worthless if the blue color doesn't indicate whether there's copper or not.

This is the best product I have ever used for removing copper fouling. I bought a small bottle of numerous other solvents from Midway to be able to test each. Most did nothing towards removing the copper deposits. This one really works! It readily desolves the copper and turns the swab blue as it does so. So you just keep running a clean swab slightly dampened witht the product through until all the blue goes away. Only complaint is the bottle. It tends to leak from under the cap. Otherwise highly recommend.

This stuff is the best solvent I have used. You will want a nickel plated jag while using this because it will turn your patches blue using a brass jag. I tried it seeing that it was new and had some good reviews. I recommended this to a friend and he loves the stuff too. I just ordered 2 more bottles. I would recommend this product to everybody that I know. It's amazing and fast working.

Great product but I think Bore Tech's Eliminator bore cleaner is a little better and requires less passes to remove all of the copper.

This product works extremely well on both copper and carbon and does the job first time around. Whats great is no worries on barrel damage and also it is recommended that after cleaning you run a damp cu+2 patch through the barrel and leave it in for storage purposes.

Best solvent that I have ...

Best solvent that I have used yet. It gets rid of copper and carbon very, very well. It even out does Bore Tech Eliminator which I thought was the best solvent out there. Pushed four patches soaked in CU+2 solvent. First patch came out black and blue which told me it was getting the carbon fouling as well as the copper fouling. Second patch came out blue and third came out a darker blue. The fourth soaked patch was pushed through and I then let the solvent sit in the barrel for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, I put Kroil on a patch and pushed it through. The patch came out the deepest color purple that I have seen a patch come out of a barrel. That means that this stuff was destroying that copper in the barrel! I put a clean patch half way through the barrel and looked at the end of the barrel with a flashlight. There were no copper streaks or any sign of copper at all. The barrel looked like a mirror inside when the light was reflecting off of it. There is no smell to this solvent at all. No barrel damaging ingredients in it at all. I would have given this solvent 10 stars if able to. Way to go Bore Tech.
