Product Information

The Z-Point features a hybrid power supply using a combination of battery and solar cell. By daylight, the solar cell supplies power to the red illuminated reticle and as the daylight fades, the electronic system switches over automatically to battery operation (3 volt lithium battery which is included). The basic brightness of the 4 MOA red dot can also be individually set and stored, after which it adjusts automatically to the surrounding light conditions. Covered under a fully transferable limited lifetime warranty. Matte.

Very nice red dot. I ...

Very nice red dot. I think it's a value for the money. I have had this for several years and have never changed the battery. The solar cell really must pick up the slack in daylight hours. Another big plus is the automatic light adjustment for the dot. Go from a dark room to daylight and it adjusts accordingly. I love the clamp mount too. On off, On off, no tools. I have this cowitnessed on a Colt 9mm AR rifle, with a Midwest Industries (on Midway site) adjustable gooseneck carry handle mount. I have it setup so I can see the dot just over the iron sights or when looking through them. The only caveat is that for its small size it has a small viewing window, but thats to be expected as its small and streamlined. Slides in and out of my patrol workbag with no snags. Heck, it's a Zeiss, you get what you pay for.

Used this on a Kimber 45 ...

Used this on a Kimber 45 with a Marvel .22 conversion kit with rails. Love it. The perfect red dot for shooting. A little tough to zero but holds zero no matter what. I could not be happier. Price seems high but "Buy once, cry once". Sits low to the rails simulating looking for the front sight on your pistol.

I mounted my Zeiss ...

I mounted my Zeiss Z-Point in an AO Scout setup on a Marlin Guide gun in 45/70. I have had it on the gun now for 2 years and it stood up to all that the rifle and I could give it. No problems, No complaints.

Has been mounted on a Stag 3L M4, and on a Beretta model 87 target pistol. Adjustments precise, can remove and replace, still sighted. Makes a great Grouse gun out of the Beretta.
