If you are a predator hunter and dont have a gun designed for that purpose, take the .22 out of the cabinet. If you use cci stingers , you will have the accuracy and knockdown power to take coyotes and foxes with a regular .22 long rifle. They are very durable (they come in a bluish see through container and if you carry them in there while you are hunting they would get damaged. ) when you feed them into the gun it dosent nick or scratch them if the gun is clean. If you dont take long shots (out to 50 yards is fine) and you shoot off of a rest of some sort, these will take coyote after coyote. I shot a 32 pound female at about 30 yards last winter through the lungs with them and killed her instantly. Just make sure that you sight them in before hunting with them because they shoot different than regular .22 bullets.

Terminal performance is ...

Terminal performance is nothing short of spectacular. However, these will not eject from my Rem. 597 due to the longer than normal cases. Accuracy is poor, they group about twice as large as most high velocity ammo. Out of a snubbie with a 2-5/8" barrel they made a big white muzzle flash and a fierce bang but chronographed only about 800fps, about 100fps slower than federal high velocity 40gr solids. They are good however at killing gophers and other burrowing varmints at close range. Due to the massive tissue damage they cause (at rifle velocity) varmints don't get a chance to flee into their burrows even if not hit perfectly.

I have a Beretta .22 Bobcat. Stingers are the only .22s that would not jam. Every other round I tried would jam after the first shot. Stingers have restored my confidence in my Bobcat!

So far the most accurate round I've fired through my DPMS AR15-22, Bull Barreled Upper. Consistently under .5", 10 shot groups @ 50 yds.

I have a Ruger MKII ...

I have a Ruger MKII semi-auto target pistol. It is extremely finicky when it comes to ammunition. I've tried everything from the dirt cheap to the most expensive ammo. Stingers are the only ammo that have never jammed and have always fired.For accuracy no other ammo comes even close. I can cut one ragged hole at 25 yds and keep it under 1.5" at 50 yds. I've consistently hit a 12" steel plate at 200yds!!

My favorite .22 for ...

My favorite .22 for hunting is the CCI mini mag HP 36 grain. In a rifle it has all the power needed for most small game situations without being to destructive. I often carry a Ruger Bear Cat or a Ruger Single Six with me on deer or hog hunts. The mini mag works well on rabbits or squirrels but lacks stopping power on larger game. I came across a rabid raccoon three years back and emptied the Bear Cat's 6 shot cylinder. The animal stopped its advance but was a long way from dead. 3 more close range shots were needed to stop him. I switched to stingers (for non hunting) and have since stopped a much larger raccoon and a fox. Two shots for each animal. For defense the stinger is the best for close encounters.

I came up with two boxes ...

I came up with two boxes of this stuff. One for my testing. One for my neighbor. They keep a six shooter housegun and I heard this is the ammo to have for a 22 self defense handgun. Aguila Supermax is faster out of a barrel, but I wont sacrifice reliability for anything. I tested my own box and found it to be quite accurate out of a rifle barrel and makes those water filled 2 liters jump pretty high. I would have confidence in it for general field use.

Great bullets, although I ...

Great bullets, although I wouldnt recommend for squirrels simply because it blows them up. I shot 2 squirrels while sitting in my deer stand one morning and I hit one on the shoulder and the bullet basically gutted the animal. the gun used was a savage mark 2 n it feeds and ejects perfectly. great bullets though I also shot a shovel with one and it blew through like nothing.

Really good stuff. shoots flat out of my marlin mod 60 at 125 yards. with the stingers i can pop a full tube out real fast with out a jam or a missed trigger reset.

This ammo and Remington ...

This ammo and Remington yellow jacket are the best 22 ammo you can get. Ive never had any problems with this ammo at all. I use it to hunt with and to put my hogs in the freezer. Ive had no problems with CCI stingers or Remington yellow jackets.
