My brother and I both ...

My brother and I both like this Target 22 short ammo. We both have T/C Contenders. A 24in. Carbine and a 12in. Pistol barrel each. The barrels are T/C Custom Shop 22 short match chamber. This ammo is extremely quiet and very accurate in these T/C barrels. I am sure that the 22 short match chambers do help this ammo shoot to its full potencial.1/2 groups at 50 yds out of the scoped carbine barrels are common. These are just fun guns to shoot and a lot quieter than a pneumatic air rifle. We take them out for grouse or rabbits. Have taken called in coyotes with head shots.

This is designed for rapid fire shooting. This is the best I have found for my High Standards & I find it works very well in my Walther OSP.

I love CCI ammo but this ...

I love CCI ammo but this one type isnt any good unless it's for rats or birds. Way too slow. I shot my meat hogs between the eyes before with 22 shorts and had no problem. I usually use 22 stingers on them but I forgot to gram some so I used this little round. Anyway I went to put my first meat hog down and the bullet just smashed up on his head. It was like a fly hitting him didn't even break the skin so I went to store and grabbed a box of the best CCI ammo there is that's the stinger.

I've found CCI Target ...

I've found CCI Target Shorts to be much more accurate than their CB Long and CB Short rounds out of all my .22 rifles. They are slightly louder and more powerful though, which means I need to use a stronger backstop when shooting indoors.

I have a CZ452 Trainer ...

I have a CZ452 Trainer with a 3-9x AO scope and this ammo is deadly on black crows in my backyard. More accurate than the CB Longs/Shorts. You need to watch your background though because at 30 degrees elevation the bullet will travel about 300-400 yards.

Very good ammo for quiet, ...

Very good ammo for quiet, subsonic back yard plinking. Sounds like an air rifle through a long gun. Very accurate and for the most part, the loadings seem to be uniform. Some rounds I've fired were a bit "weak". No problem dispatching groundhogs at 50 yards.

I use these in a CZ452 ...

I use these in a CZ452 trainer and 3-9x scope in my backyard. I swage a hollow point into these which makes them more accurate. Groups about 3/4 inch at 25 yards. At thirty yards it will blow a nice hole in a crow. I've taken headshots on big jack rabbits at 50-75 yards, no problem one shot kills. Sounds like a pellet gun.

This is just the ammo I ...

This is just the ammo I have been looking for for over a decade! It is almost nearly as quiet as the CB ammo but 1/3 more powerful and much more accurate. I get 1/2" 5-shot groups at 25 yards out of my Marlin 981T with this ammo. The extra velocity over the CBs gives another 5-10 yards effective range, and the extra power (33 vs 44 FPE) makes short work of various garden/yard pests. Also, due to their inherent relative innacuracy the CBs would only wound 1/3 of the time they connected, and about 1 out of 5 shots would miss entirely at 25-35 yards. This is not a problem with the CCI Target Shorts. Even a pesky rodent deserves the cleanest, quickest kill possible, and this ammo easily doubles the odds that will be the result. I have since ordered 5 more boxes.
