The RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Single Stage Press is a great press that is designed to turn out precision reloaded ammunition. To increase the efficiency of the Rock Chucker Supreme press RCBS developed the Auto Priming Unit. This tube fed priming system helps to speed up the single stage reloading process and ensure that primers do not get contaminated by oily fingers. Each tube will hold up to 100 primers and the reloader is protected by accidental discharge with the included safety shield.

I am loading 300 RUM. As stated in the other reviews, fine tuning is a must, and some modifications may be required. Half the time I have to jiggle the loaded primer arm to get it out of the block, then after priming the case I have to fight to get it back under the primer at the bottom of the stack. The "fit" is not as clean and functional as it could be. I did get it to function a little better once I made some minor adjustments in the feeder set screw, but it is still not up to what I would consider a great RCBS product. With a little better re-design I would probably recommend this product to a friend.

This product was a bit of a pain until I took the time to adjust the set screw for the feeder. Once I figured out the right setting I was able to go through 100 primers with no feeding problems. Make sure you have the proper plug and sleeve for the size primers you are using. Also, I am not using the tubes that came with it, I am using tubes from a previous set that have the nylon end that picks up the primers and the cotter pin that holds them while flipping and installing the tube, and I am not using the outer black tube that covers the feed tube because with the nylon ends it won't go on the mechanism. Hope this helps, replacement tubes are not to expensive and are handy to have. like I said, once it was dialed in it worked great

I gave this product a fair rating giving it the benefit of the doubt. Poor to fair would be a better rating. It has to be constantly adjusted and played with to keep it working. I have had multiple problems with primers flipping and had allot of problems with keeping the primer plug adjusted to seat properly. I have some 30 years of reloading behind me so it's not a lack of experience just a poor tool. Sorry RCBS for the first time I can't give one of your products a good review.

I have one of these in service that I have been using for the past year on a single stage Rock Chucker and once you get the hang of it saves a lot of time. Proper set up is key and I check all primer tubes before I load them full and start sequence. SAFTY FIRST than production.

Great concept, but poor ...

Great concept, but poor execution on the part of RCBS. The first time I used it, it jammed and by the time I got it loose it had pulled the bolts holding the blocks together. I had to tap the holes up to 10-24x3/4" and then the primer arm was too long and kept hitting the back of the ram. This caused primers to flip and ruined 15 primers and cases out of the first 100. I had to make a spacer out of a 3/8" washer to get it to the right length and then adjust and fine tune over and over again until I was satisfied it would not cause any more problems. It works great now, but if someone is getting mega bucks to design these things I should not have to figure out how to re-engineer it to work in the real world. Bottom line, don't waste your money until RCBS re-designs this.

First, let me say that I purchased this product just after it was released, so the problem I had may have since been corrected. However, the finish on the inside of the small primer tube was too rough to allow the primers to slide freely, resulting in primers becoming stuck half way up the tube... to remove the stuck primers, I had to push them from the tube with a cleaning rod.... a process I was not to fond of. Polishing the inside of the tube with fine sand paper corrected the problem. Before running live primers thru these tubes, I'd suggest sliding a few spent primers through the tube just to be sure they will fall to the bottom.
