Not as good as it could be.

The base pad on both the 9mm and 40S&W only allow me +1, not +2, for either round. I though the 9mm would get 2 when my 40 didn't, but not the case. I stipple these to match my stippled Glock grip to aid in grip during mag changes on my Glock 19&23 and they do work good for that. Base works good but it could be a little better for the +2 promise.

Not one of Promag's finer ...

Not one of Promag's finer achievements! Fit and finish is good but there is no +2 here! Install is easy but even with the stock spring in my G23 mags +1 is all I am getting. If you are able to even get the 15th round in, the stock G23 spring is 100% compressed and there is too much stress on the base pad so any pressure on it (e.g. side load, hitting, dropping, etc.) will cause the base pad to fly off like a rocket, sending it, the insert, and spring/follower sailing and dumping 15rds on the ground! So unless you really just feel like spending $10 for one extra round per 2 mags, buy the Glock +2 base and insert, yeah you only get to upfit one mag for a little more$$ but it IS +2 for one mag!

Only adds one round on a Glock 23. It's the only reason I can think of why my new Glock jammed three times at the range using Magtech 180 grain FMC ammo out of 35 rounds. Possibly the factory Glock spring is too weak or holding the gun with two hands was binding the magazine??? Too bulky for conceal carry purpose. I just removed the base-pad and put the factory Glock stuff back on. Hopefully I won't experience any more jams unless it was caused by the ammo.

I bought a number of these and installed them on both G17 and G26 mags. On the G26, I can only get one additional round into the mag, but they also provide a great grip extension, no exta power spring needed. On the G17, I got 2 additional rounds into the mag (19 total), but they definitely needed the Extra Power springs to fix failure to feed on the last round. Easy install once you get the floor plate off.

If you install this you should also replace the magazine spring with an extra power spring. If you don't, you will probably have a "failure to feed" on the last round in the magazine. I replaced the stock spring with a Wolf extra power spring and everything worked great.

The pads work perfectly. I put one on each of my 17rd. Glock mags, and did not need an "Extra Power" mag spring. Considering what other extended pads cost, these are well worth the money. If you have any kind of magwell on your Glock, you need this product. These pads are very easy to install.
