I've owned quite a few ...

I've owned quite a few Encore barrels in various calibers. This base is one that I've used on many of them. The best feature is the way that the rear ring is more forward then lets say the Talley 1 piece base. I choose the base / ring combo to match the caliber and scope that I'm going to use. If I use a long tube scope the Leupold 1 piece base and rings let me have the proper eye relief meaning I can mount the scope forward more. I also use the Talley 1 piece base / ring combo when I use a short scope. The Talley base hangs over the receiver which allows for the proper eye relief. Fit and finish on the Leupold base is top quality. I've never seen or had to return a bad base or rings. Another feature with this base is there are no windage screws to loosen up. The Leupold Dual Dovetail base with rings is just a great product.
