I bought this for my ...

I bought this for my Springfield Armory Loaded Operator PX9105L .45. The only problem, is that the magazine wouldn't completey lift the stop to lock the slide back on an empty chamber. I bent the tap on the magazine, and it locks pretty decent. Despite it working now, it doesn't completely ride up into the slide stop notch....I would say it falls about 1/64 short. Slight pressure on the lever can make the slide slam forward. Slight machininig/filing would solve that. Great overall function, fit is another matter, but can be made to work great with some filing.

It fit right in with no modifications needed. The extended release was helpful, making it easy to release the slide.
However, the extended part of the release broke off after about two years while I was taking a defensive handgun course. I expected more from Wilson Combat. I'm seeing if they will replace it.

Part seemed fine and matched the matte stainless finish on my gun. However, the extension was too narrow so I would have to change my grip, so I went with the swenson extended slide stop.

After less than 150 rounds fired through my 1911 the extended part of this slide stop broke off, just like the other reviewers have mentioned happened to them. When it broke it damaged my grips and nearly cut me with the sharp edges but for the first time and last time it actually locked the slide back after the last round in the magazine. This is a metal injected molding (MIM) part and it is weak. Wilson Combat's name is tarnished with this defective part.

After purchasing my 1st, was so pleased, got 2 more all from Midway. First on a Colt Combat Elite (used for IDPA). Worked so well, installed the others on my Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II (CCW) and Colt Gold Cup Stainless. Have gone over 1,000 rnds with the Elite and the slide stop is holding up. Certainly makes going into battery more simplified.

I have purchased two of these now, both have broken. Wasn't sure why the first broke, and now I know why, just a poor product. The mold line was also not smooth and ripped up the finish on my slide pretty badly. The length is nice and does work, but not for long. Don't buy this one.

The axle of this part is ...

The axle of this part is longer and thicker than the factory one so it caused the slide to not go into battery by 1 or 2 mm. Required sanding down and polishing of the axle to fix the problem. (Wasted one part trying to find the face that was out of spec, had to buy another one once I found the axle was out of spec.) The magazine catch latch is too short so it does not reach the catch on the magazine follower causing the gun to not lock open after the last round. Major issue. This is a Metal Injected Molded (MIM) part with a joint line running the length of slide release and not a machined or milled part. The joint line is not sanded down so it marred my slide pretty heavily after a little usage. Great idea for a part, but this one is not recommended.
