This is, by far, the best ...

This is, by far, the best grease for firearms available. After testing on 10 different AR-15 bolt assemblies and doing 10,000 round live fire testing on each, the locking bolts and other high wear parts so almost no wear at all! Amazing product. We now also use it on all stainless bolt guns as well, since stainless "loves" itself so much. ( over/under mono blocks with jewelling look like they've never been shot if this grease is used on them since day one.! Fantastic product.)

I ordered some of this ...

I ordered some of this grease several years ago and agree with the comments by other users regarding how slick and smooth actions work after application. However, I have recently taken several guns out of storage (semi-auto rifle (steel), revolver pistol (steel) and an automatic pistol (stainless steel)) and have encountered a problem. In all cases the Tetra Gun Grease dried up to the point of getting crusty on the surface. Also, on the rifle (an AR 15) in the trigger mechanism, every place where a steel pin or spring touched the aluminum receiver, the grease in these areas turned orange and once cleaned, the parts were found to be rusty (in these areas only, not overall). The guns were stored in their hard cases, indoors, in a temperature controlled environment (house closet). I still like the Tetra Gun Oil but am looking for another brand of grease.

I swear this Tetra Gun Grease is the slickest on the market. If rubbed into the metal surfaces then lightly re-greased, it will smooth an action better than any of the multitude of oils, greases on my shelf. I greased all of the contact surfaces of a new XDm 9mm and even forced some into the spring mechanism and was greatly impressed with the increased smoothness of cycling the action. It quieted the action on my AR some and made it smoother. I have more to do!

This has got to be the slickest, best stuff out there. As has already been said, it eliminates wear, smooths things very noticeably, won't migrate, and won't evaporate or burn off with heavy shooting. If you're not using it, you're missing out!

Excellent grease with a wide temperature range of -100F to 750F that is easy to apply and best used on all metal to metal contact surfaces; the results are little or almost no signs of any wear. The best grease I've used to date. This grease is low odor. You can't go wrong with this grease.

When I first started using this product I was thrilled with its lubricating quality and would have rated it 5 stars. That moved to one star recently and the reason for that is rust.Rust on multiple items I used this grease on, not just one. I take very good care of my stuff. I have safe queen guns and knives that have rust under a visible layer of Tetra gun grease. I recently removed all the Tetra grease from everything it was applied. Luckily no permanent damage except on two knives that were both over one hundred dollars each. My advice, don't use this product.

A must for stainless. Stays where you put it. Just a dollop where it's needed and semi-auto's and bolt actions will be smooth as silk. Used last year hunting in 15 deg. with snow and it performed great.

This stuff has a great texture and seems to work very well, but I have only been using it for a couple of months. The grease goes on very easily and I have just been putting it on my finger and spreading it where it needs to be. There is an added bonus in that it is clear and doesn't stain your clothes as bad if you mistakenly think your clothes need rust protection.
