CNC machined from billet aluminum and hard anodized, this target trigger has both pre-travel and overtravel adjustments that are accessible when the gun is assembled. A plunger spring is also included that helps to reduce the trigger pull weight.

I like using these on the Ruger 22/45 with a couple of added modes that I have developed. Makes a nice clean 2-2.5 lb. trigger with NO over travel.

I just installed this in my 22/45 RP and it along with the sear gave it a very nice pull. The hammer is not needed. Save the money and but the trigger and sear.

I installed this trigger in my 22/45 MK 3. It has a lot of side play which appears to cause uneven pressure on the sear. Now the sear does not slide from under the hammer in one even step. I hate it and it is coming out today.

I contacted Volquartsen and they confirmed that this can be used in a Mk 1 but that is not advertised. I installed this in an early Mark 1. Removal of old trigger and installation of new was not as difficult as I thought it might be. Only one pin (trigger pin) needed to be removed. Trigger allows easy external adjustment of both pre-travel and over-travel. Because of differences in models (Mark 1, 2 and 3) but I found that the shorter over travel set screw was too short and over travel too long; reversing them sets it right. The over travel screw was loose so Lock-tite must be used to secure it. Very pleased with end result.

Let me start by saying that I am a BIG FAN of Volquartsen Products! My Ruger's were improved by installing the original DROP-IN ACCURIZER KIT. The new trigger limits forward travel as well as over travel. If you shoot .22 LR in speed events this is the trigger you want!

Had this trigger been available when I was doing trigger work on my own pistol this is how I would go rather than the Clark Custom. Another shooter let me try his pistol with this trigger and I was impressed with the adjustments for both pre-and-post travel.You can use the external adjustments to set both pre-and-post travel tolerances to fit your own particular needs. A well made product made even better with the external adjustments. See my note on the Clark Custom trigger

Let me first say that I believe it would be practicing good judgement to know your MKIII's internal workings WELL before any modifications occur. Many will tell of the complexity and frustrations imminent with working on a MKIII. Know what you're getting into. On that note: I consider the vq target trigger a fine upgrade to take up extra slack in the trigger pull. The softer trigger plunger spring, for me, as well as others I've heard of, is insufficient pressure to lift the disconnecter and will cause failure to function. I used my factory spring and find myself very happy.
