1. The bipod is heavy ...

1. The bipod is heavy duty, well built, read the weight before buying the product.2. I do not see any rust.3. It is made in the USA.4. I read the info, and it states that the bipod will only fit a rail made for the John Manson bipod. I am having one store bought rail milled for this bipod. This will work great for my custom sporter rifle.

First thing I noticed was all the rust around the leg. The spring (leg release) was/is ready to give. Save your self the time and the effort and stay away..............It's junk for 24.99

I purchased this bipod ...

I purchased this bipod because of the price and convenience of mounting on a picatinny rail. The price is right, but it's a real tight fit on the pic rail. It took some force to slide it on. Overall, the bipod has a solid feel, however it's very heavy. I mounted it on a M1A Socom 2, so the additional weight is not welcome. I also have rust problems around all the joints. The rust wasn't there when it arrived. So, I assume it's going to get worse. In Summary:- Affordable- Solid feel- Gets the job done- Heavy- Rust problem- Tight fit on the pic rail.

I have used this Bipod on ...

I have used this Bipod on a bushmaster AR-15 for about a month now. The first thing that I noticed when I removed it from the shipping bag was that it had a fair amount of rust evident on the legs and some of the smaller weld joints. It is also more than twice as heavy as the Harris Bipod I have on another rifle. The leg retaining clips are spring actuated, but there doesn't seem to be anything that holds the springs in place except friction. The other complaint that I have with the Bipod is that even though it is advertised as being for a Picatinny rail, I (unfortunately) had to use a tremendous amount of force to get it on the rail, and will probably never be able to get it off. That being the down side of this product, the upside is that it does exactly what it says it will do, and that is stabilize the front of your AR-15 for shooting from the prone position. I have not had a problem getting the rifle rock steady on this bipod, and that is why it gets three stars, even with all the problems.

This bipod will only work ...

This bipod will only work with John Masen Picatinny rail, not the standard 1 inch rails. The John Masen rail is a wedge shaped so the edges on the tip is pointed, not one inch the whole rail. You would have to slip the rail on. Not use the thumbscrew.

Bipod covered with rust ...

Bipod covered with rust when received. Springs on leg release pop out with normal use. Very poor quality. On its way back the day received.
