KNS Precision "cross hair" type front sights offer the shooter a front sight that covers less of the target at longer ranges. The 0.240" diameter CNC machined blackened brass housing offers a large, bright field of view. Hooded sights have 0.250" housing for greater protection of the cross hair under demanding conditions and better shielding from stray light.

I installed this on a Henry Frontier .22 and it is the perfect match to a tang mounted peep sight. It really helps me to get right on target and consistently with excellent precision. My eyes are older so I need a peep to focus on it, but the round housing gives a perfect halo and the crosshair is fine enough that it is visible without obfuscating the target. Everyone I show it to loves the sight picture. It was a little loose in the dovetail which I addressed by dimpling the inside of the dovetail with an automatic center punch. Imagine what young eyes can do with it!!

The dovetail for this ...

The dovetail for this sight is pretty undersized, It freely falls through the dovetail slot in my Marlin 1894C. Shimming is required for a snug fit.I used this sight with a williams FP rear peep, with a .093" rear aperture:The sight picture is fairly good in bright light - the crosshairs are extremely fine. However, since the sight's "hood" is small in diameter, it tends to block out a lot more of the target picture than I would like. Also, the front ring is both rounded and fairly glossy which tends to produce a lot of glare. This sometimes keeps me from consistently putting the sight picture in the same relative place.Overall, it is a good sight for precision shooting from a bench in good light, but I would rather have a post otherwise.

The dovetail fit extremely tight in the ramp, advise applying lubricant to ramp prior to installing, and a C-clamp to install.

Great sight. Put it on my ...

Great sight. Put it on my Marlin XLR with XS Lever rail with Ghost ring rear sight and it has made a world of difference. The two rings line up very easily and the cross hairs are like a scope. QD Scope rings allow me to use it as a back up or primary if in close range. Groups are as good as I can shoot, around 1.5" at 100 yards. Really worth it.
