Kano Kroil Penetrating Oil and Bore Cleaning Solvent is the oil that creeps. Kroil is used by the most accuracy-obsessed benchrest shooters to keep their barrels clean. Kroil creeps below the fouling in your barrel, allowing you to knock it out easily with a patch or brush. For best results when working with rusted or frozen gun parts, allow 24 hours for Kroil to penetrate.

Best penetrating solvent

I have used Kroil for many metal parts that are stuck,seized, etc. I have found nothing better or faster working.
I have also used it for cleaning a heavily fouled bore on a rifle, left for a little over 24 hrs and the bore cleaned up to like new.
This is an impressive product.

Another amazing use

My uncle, a brilliant engineer introduced me to Kroil over 25 years ago. Prior to its use, we had wrung off far too many nuts and bolts in our restoration business. The ONLY siezed item I ever found that Kroil wouldn't free was the throttle shaft on a Weber carburetor. My uncle never mislead me on any mechanical information and Kroil has been one of the most useful products I've ever known. I has been my 'go to' for years in cleaning my one-hole Sako 6mmPPC.

We all know how well it works cleaning fire arms , barrels etc but I have a new one . I've had a couple of cast iron mould that cast undersize bullets . I had always wondered how much was lost " smoking " the mould. Did the carbon from smoking it undersize the cast bullet ? I didn't want to lap the mould as it destroys the bluing inside the cavities. I read about using Kroil on the cavities w/o smoking the mold. I am very pleased to report it has worked very well. They drop right out of the mold , looked great after about 5-6 castings and now require being resized down as they are initially oversize. A real first for that cast mold . After about 40-50 casting, lightly recoat the cavities, it will smoke but no worries. Then its good for the rest of the session if it's 100 castings or more, no problem.

I bought Kano Kroil 20 years ago, just thinking that it was just another WD40, or penatraing oil, just this month I've used it three times, the differance is day and night, anyone that works on cars, trucks,machineryguns, should have it, if you have rusty nuts or bolts, you just got to get it !!! It's been out over 80 years.

I just recently started using this product on the recommendation of a friend. fantastic product! excellent at cleaning the bore and works wonders with a firearm that has rust. it is my primary go to product for anything on a firearm now.

Gave a badly leaded ...

Gave a badly leaded barrel a 24hr soak with Kroil. Pushed a super tight patch (I use a piece of scott towel) thru it and ribbons of lead came out with the patch. A little scrubbing with a stiff nylon bore brush + kroil took care of the rest of the lead. Pretty impressive. You don't need to use a lot of it, a little dab'll do ya.

I have this mostly for frozen parts, but use it on bores as a last resort. Last resort? Well honestly, I can hardly stand the odor of it and it gets in your skin, etc. if you are messy. But if you just know your bore is not clean enough, even if your hi-tech cleaner is coming out clean patches, better bite the bullet and try this. Just cleaned a fouled up expensive .22 with respected cleaner, JB bore cleaner, etc. and they got out some or a lot of it. But I still had some lead or something stubbornly hanging on. The Kroil is working into it and bringing out blackish patches so I know it is getting what was missed. Keep some around for its intended use, which it does brilliantly, and also for that bore that just hangs on to the last remnants of lead or crud.

Stinks, but works like a ...

Stinks, but works like a champ at lifting stuff out especially after a few soaked patches and letting it sit overnight. Take a brush through the next morning and takes out lead very well. Great for cleaning also.
