This foot operated launcher is awesome. It's simple to operate, can throw up 1 or 2 clays and is easy for a shooter to operate whether shooting alone or with friends. It takes 4-5 launches to get the hang of it Actually get yourself balanced right)... The launcher does NOT need a 300lb gorilla stomping on it. It operates much better with a controlled downward pressure. Once the foot that operates reaches the release mechanism, your foot is almost flat to the ground and if you have your balance set correctly before launching, there's no need to fidget or adjust your footing, there's a split second delay for the clays to get airborne and you're sighting and prepared just as if someone else launched for you. The reload is simple. I found that even after 300 clay launches in one session, I had no discomfort in my leg... just my shoulder from the 12 gauge pounding. Clearly, there is a swinging bar that whips round to launch the clays but the design is so well made, extremely sturdy, I cannot see how you could injure yourself without being extremely stupid and standing in front of it while you try to launch the clay... which would be about as stupid as holding the shotgun the wrong way around. I did find that if you stomped on the launching lever hoping to get a faster launch etc, you're more likely to find a clay break apart. I've had more clays break with one of those stupid hand launchers. I'd highly recommend this unit for sturdiness, ease of operation and simplicity. as for the fun factor, it takes no hitch setup, no one sitting down dedicated to launching, whether shooting alone or with a friend, you can enjoy the shooting and you soon forget about the launching as its no longer a tedious chore. Excellent product.

I like the concept of being able to throw your own clays. I have found that in solo use, the high ready position works best as I step on the pedal. I had problems with the unit "walking" in soft ground. I took a couple of foot-long pieces of 2-inch PVC and used a file on the inside of the pipe in 3 places until the pointed front legs of the One-Step would slide into the pipe. I dug 2 holes, put the pipes on the One-Step, aligned and leveled everything, and tamped the pipes in good. This made the unit rock solid.The reason for only 3 stars is that I had a lot of problems with the trigger not resetting. I tried lubrication, but I couldn't get consistent operation. What finally worked was to replace the weak factory trigger return spring with a stronger spring from the hardware store. I had to bend the rounded ends of the spring into the shape of the hook. Now the unit is a 5-star product.

This product is simple to use. Load a clay, rotate the throwing arm to the trigger, step on the stepping plate, which loads the spring, until the the trigger releases. The instructions included are very good, adjustments are easy.

The important thing for me is I can operate the thrower by myself. I am able to concentrate on my form without getting nervous about missing. Last time out I hit 23 out of 25 which is a big improvement for me, at 66 years old.

The only possible improvement would be an additional anchor to the ground in the back of the thrower. The thrower does move with just the front leg anchors. This doesn't impact the performance of the unit.

I have let others try it, they were impressed.

This trap works very well either for shooting trap on your own or with others. I will say however the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars are the directions. Whew, they are horrible. I did a search to see if anyone had posted a video on how to assemble and the only thing I found were reviews on how bad the assembly instructions are. Needless to say; I eventually figured them out and it works very good for both single and double throws.

This is an excellent product for the price. It is very durable and reliable. It throws singles, doubles stacked or doubles left and right. Only draw back is the instructions are not the best for assembly.

Great product! The thrower is very sturdy compared to a competitor's model that had broken after two years of use. The assembly directions were difficult to understand, but it only took me about 20 min. I was out in the back yard shooting clays within a half-hour of receiving it. It should last a long time.

LOVE IT!!! Bought it for my husband who is a proficient hunter/shooter - I was worried it wouldn't be what some raved! It is great! We both loved it and had a great time shooting clay pigeons - his only comment - would be nice if it was fast connects rather than screws/bolts to adjust the height - to make it faster/one handed change - but, not if it increased the price! I was soooo pleased that it was beyond worth what I paid for it. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! It does what it says it will and with quality!!Debbie & Dave from Phoenix

Truly awesome device - I've used mine for about 3 months and have put a couple thousand clays through it with no problem. I like to shoot alone, so this is an ideal unit. Easy to change elevation without fussing with the silly adjusting screw - just put wooden blocks under the front legs! They'll stay put for a few throws. Great machine, TERRIBLE packing.
