First time, won't be the last!

Performs better that I expected. Easy to follow directions and a lot of patience have brought back an old, rusty shotgun to display status. Careful attention to prep work,namely degreasing and pre-heat, the use of ventilation, eye protection, and rubber gloves are a must.(best if the wife isn't home!) I'll be using this stuff again!

I wanted the antique look ...

I wanted the antique look on my Nylon 66, especially after past excuses for cold bluing produced poor results. Took the time to prep the metal by degreasing and 400 grit wet sanding then ovened it at 280 degrees. It took four careful coats to get the desired brown richness, heating between each coat. After cooling, I gun oiled the metal and used 00 steel wool to get an even coating. Next day I paste waxed the surface and polished to a factory-like finish. Great stuff. Just take your time, properly prep, and control running of the applied chemical. The heat is the thing. Once again, great stuff.

I have used this product for years. metal must be clean and degreased. Use clean cotton gloves or rubber gloves.On large parts hang them with a wire and try not to touch parts much with gloves, heat and rub it on to the color you want. I have also heated parts in boiling water and applied plumb brown this way also, It requires some work but will look great
