Provides a large beveled opening for super-fast magazine changes without adding unnecessary bulk to your handgun. Manufactured from solid steel to provide a durable and attractive addition to your 1911. Attaches to the grip screw bushings and is held in place by the grip panels. No frame modification is required, but slight modification to the grip panel may be necessary unless relieved grips are used.

Perfect fit on my ...

Perfect fit on my Springfield Armory Loaded Operator PX9105L. I didn't use relieved grips, so there's a very, very, slight bulge where the base attaches to the grip screws. Didn't affect width to me at all. Also, if your magazines don't have a rubber base, you will need it, as the increased depth will make it hard to completely seat a loaded magazine, or pull it out it needed. Overall, great product, and really makes it much easier to load in the dark/low light, or for a quick reload while inserting into the magazine base.

Bought this well to go on a Stainless S&W 1911. The tabs are too narrow to fit over the grip screws and fit tightly to the bottom of the pistol. It fit great on my Springer which is blued. Mags fit fine on the springer but on the S&W I had to modify the well angles so mags with extended base plates would work. Regular base mags would snap in just fine. It is a quality item, just does not drop in on my SW1911.

Great low cost alternative to other higher priced mag wells. Required slight filing to the inside of the grip hooks to fit my SW1911 (108282). The outer ring has a nice polish while the bottom feed surface has a medium coarse matte finish.

Good product for my S&W 1911 used in USPSA, but mag pads are a must or they cannot be fully inserted. Also, the pad on factory mags is too wide to fit.

This is THE best magwell! Smaller & light than those attached to the backstrap, yet equally functional. Fumble-free mag changes become automatic. No modification required on my Taurus PT 1911. Remove the grip screw bushings & well slides right on with a snug flush fit.

This is a quality item. I purchased this for a Sig Sauer 1911 C 3. The pistol has a two tone finish, and the stainless mag well contrasts well with the dark frame. (Especially if you polish it with a small amount of metal polish.) The installation does require a bit of relief carving on the back of the grip panels, but don't let this discourage you. A small effort, and a little time provides an excellent fit. For the price of the item, and a little time....this really enhances the performance and look of your 1911.

Excellent fit on my Kimber Custom II. Will need to remove it when I occasionally have to pull the mainspring housing, but not a big deal since it simply hangs on the lower grip screws.

Very nice part. Fit my Springfield perfectly. Used with Pachymere wood/rubber grip panels with wrap around finger grooves and had no interference problem. It will NOT work with CMC 10 round mags that have extended pads. Work fine with CMC 8 round mags with bump pads. Also, function is great! Not just looks....

I just installed this on my Colt Combat Elite .38 Super. It fit as if custom made. The stock neoprene grips did not need modification though they do bulge a little where the hooks fit underneath. Magazines load very smooth and the finish matches my stainless frame. I was skeptical prior to purchase but turned out to be very happy.

Awesome. I put this on a two-tone, Sig XO, fit like a Glock, completely flush, mag changes are way easier. Everyone is correct about it bulging the grip. However, I have a Pearce rubber grip product# 799381 on mine. So I just cut out the wings on the rubber, took 20 seconds, and works perfectly. I was hesitant to buy this one due to the price but I couldn't be happier. Looks very nice on the two tone as well.

I bought this for my Taurus 1911 and had no problem getting this to fit, although I did have to use a file to remove a little material inside of my grips, to make room for the tabs of the mag well extender. Took about 20 min. start to finish. Looks great and was shipped really fast, thanks Midway.

When I first opened it up, I thought it was a little small. Then I installed it (have a rubber mallet ready lol). The fit is very snug (which is the way it should be) and fit is perfect. First mag I tried slid in effortlessly. Oh, I'm going to love this. I was truly amazed how great this magwell works. This is the best bang for the buck product I've bought for my 1911-A1.
