Great mag built very well super sturdy compared to a regular flimsy AR mag. Will even feed 6 7.62x39s consistently. Only negative (4stars) is that this mag is snug fit in my lower and won't slide out when you hit the mag release. It has to be pulled, but this mag is built to last compared to others.

These magazines are wonderful when used in Highpower Rifle competition, particularly in California. They are rugged, well made, designed for the 10 round CA-limit, but built in the straight 20 round style commonly used in NRA/CMP competition. I have been using these magazines in the rapid fire stages of the National Match Course for three years without a failure to feed or to properly lock back the bolt. They fit fine in the CMMG lowers I am using, but were snug in a Vulcan lower I purchased a few years ago until I removed a little metal from the magazine well. I highly recommend them.

These 10 round mags ...

These 10 round mags worked flawlessly in my M&P AR-15A. Although they are the size of 20 round mags with a 10 round capacity, they fit and function perfectly. A little heavier than plastic mags, but have more positive fit and very easy to load rounds. Put 200 rounds through 2 mags today without a single problem. Will buy more when they are back in stock.

I own 2 of these mags. ...

I own 2 of these mags. One keeps popping out every few rounds. The other fails to keep the bolt open after last round. It will work, but you will have to learn how to use the gun with one. Better off getting a converted 10/20 mag or a 10/30 mag in CA of a better brand.

Other reviews with 1 star have some valid points if you are not fully aware of what you are purchasing beforehand. A buddy and I have 2 completely different AR set-ups. We have a couple clear poly DPMS mags, a couple steel small "true size" mags, and I have 2 of these. They are all 10rd'ers since we live in CA. True: they are the size of a 20 round mag and they are a little hefty. However, I have never had a failure to load, never has the bolt not been held at mag empty, nor any other issue that I have seen on another mag. Also the steel construction (hence the weight) allows for the mag to be stored loaded with little to no flex at the rims. I am happy with these, I just wish I could run PMAG 30 MagLevel in CA.

I'll be using them for ...

I'll be using them for targets next time I head out to the desert.Far too tight in my Colt 6920 mag well. Not only will they not drop free, but I have to tug and wiggle them to get them out.

Fit well, metal steel in ...

Fit well, metal steel in mag is a bit heavier/thicker than other mags but worked well on various platforms. The 5 round version is a bit lighter for hunting applications - but they (both mags) were very reliable - have 2 of these 10 round mags, and a 5 round one and have never had issues with feeding, dropping free.

This product was going to ...

This product was going to be used for my hunting trip. I would have to rate this poorly. It was Very heavy, the tilt follower was unstable compared to my other mags, and the size of it was twice as big as it should have been. Half of the mag is not even being used. This mag is great for looks at the shooting range but poor for hunting or home protection.

Works flawless with my DPMS M4 upper and it actually "hit the dirt" drop free on my CMMG lower with DPMS lower assembly. Will buy one again when on sale.

Fits too tight in lowers ...

Fits too tight in lowers from three different manufacturers. This mag will not drop free. It does not hold the bolt open on the last shot. I would not recommend this product.
