This AR-Stoner AR-15 Pistol Barrel is fully chambered and ready for installation onto a host upper receiver. The barrel features a true 5.56x45mm NATO Chamber for use with both commercial and military surplus ammunition, while the 1 in 9" Twist Rifling is capable of stabilizing light to medium weight projectiles of up to about 69 grains. This is the perfect barrel for a budget AR Pistol build, keeping length and weight to an absolute minimum while still offering a significant ballistic advantage over any of the traditional pistol chamberings found in common use in defensive carbines and/or PDW's. Barrel extension and locator pin are both included and factory installed.

Light weight, mated with a Noveseke Pig this makes a very handy SBR. Very controlable and no backblast. Finished well and installed quickly. Excellent prodoct for the price.

Ordered this for a budget pistol build - wasn't expecting great quality based on the price, but was pleasantly surprised. Finish is nicer than pictured - parkerizing is even in color and barrel didn't show any turning or tool marks. Threads were clean and sharp, and accepted a standard flash hider without a problem. The barrel is not chrome lined as noted in the specs, and is chambered in 5.56mm. It does have nice deep M4 feed ramps. The barrel IS NOT drilled for front sight cross pins and IS NOT dimpled for set-screw type gas blocks. The gas hole appears to be very, very slightly offset from the center line of the barrel, but not enough to worry about. The barrel installed easily on a DSA upper with a YHM short free float tube and gas block. The first 10 shots to verify function (5.56 Federal green tip) went into one ragged hole at 25 yards using open sights and a rest. The upper was 100% reliable with a commercial DPMS bolt assembly on a semi-auto lower with the Ace Pistol Buffer assembly using standard weight buffer and spring. No other combinations have been tested as of yet. After firing 40 rounds, the barrel was cleaned and inspected - no defects noted. Other than the concussion and muzzle blast from the very short barrel, it is a fairly pleasant pistol to carry (with a sling) and shoot. If you can't decide if you really want an AR pistol and don't want to sink a lot of money in a barrel, this one is a good choice. I thought that if I got sick of the 7.5" barrel, I could always use the rest of the parts to build a new rifle upper, and all I would be out would be the barrel and gas tube. All in all, this part is worth the price, and is above average in quality.

So far so good, nice finish and did not see any burrs in the gas hole. Looks like it was test shot, or may be just dirty from when they made it. Not bad for the price, give it a try. When my pistol is done and I test fire it, I'll try to do an updated review.
