Very disappointed in this ...

Very disappointed in this case. Savage 12 VLP will not stay in place. You close the lid, pick the case up and can feel and hear the rifle slide to the bottom. The foam padding falls out of the top when you open the lid. Don't know what I'm going to use it for but it doesn't hold one rifle in place, let alone two.

Nice case for the money. I had too positon the rifles accordingly, because the case was a wee bit narrow. The rifles did shift around, marring my M1A a little. The foam should be tacked down with some glue too keep it from falling down evrytime you open the case. May have trouble carrying extra's for the rifles (like magazine's, bi-pods, etc) Boly action rifles would probably fit better in the case. for the money though, not to bad.

This gun case is not strong enough to protect two guns. The padding is flimsy if you transport two guns in there they will beat and bang on each other and when you get to where you were going they will be damaged. On the other hand the case is inexpensive and, in my opinion, would transport one gun if treated with care ok.

Hard to ask for something better at this price point. I haven't had Ron Hansing's problem, but I always wrap each rifle in a towel. I like the 3 lock rings.

I have a custom built 30-06 with a 50mm Leupold scope and this case keeps it in the same position. It does not allow the gun to move around and keeps it protected. I am looking to buy another one soon.
