Since 1928, Prvi Partizan has been producing custom ammunition in Serbia for competition, indoor ranges and big game hunting. Soft point bullets feature a soft lead exposed nose that create controlled expansion and a uniform mushroom. This ammunition is new product, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases

I gave this a 5 star ...

I gave this a 5 star rating for a few simple reasons. Cost, almost the cheapest ammo available and still good quality. Accuracy, was able to shoot sub MOA groups with this ammunition. Brass, for being a bargain brand the quality of the brass for reloading is fantastic (better than Remington or Winchester as long as you weigh them into lots). I have reloaded this brass 5 times and so far have not had any issues with brass fatigue, cracking, or brittleness. The only thing you need to keep your eye on is the primer pockets, they seem to be a bit deeper than other brands. Specifics, I fired these through my Remington 700 VTR, these bullets grouped around .8 inches, my tuned handloads usually come in about .4 inches at 100yds (using this brass with 40gr bullets). I plan to purchase more of this ammunition when my existing brass finally calls it quits.

Ammo from Prvi has been good in .243, .25-06, .270, .308 & 30-06 over last 5 years. Shot as well or better than more expensive ammo. However, this has not grouped well in my H&R Handi rifle (24" 1:14 twist), maybe 2-3" at 100 yards. Gun has a 5# trigger and this is part of the problem. I did chrony 7 rounds or an avg of 3645 FPS at 12' but extractor only worked on 4 of 10 shots. Removing with cleaning rod required good whack and breaking open action was stiff, it was 80-85F and sunny so this maybe causing a pressure problem. Still good ammo for $$ and would buy again and try in cooler weather.

Couldn't get better than ...

Couldn't get better than 4" groups at 100 yds with H&R Ultra 24" Bull Barrel with 12 power scope. Pact Pro chrongraphy 6 shot avg 3644FPS (3691H-3600L) but had some pressure problems with beaking open action and only 40% extracted. Used rifle that may not have been fired and stiff trigger and 85-90 degrees. Handloaded some 55gr Speer SP and got 3/8" group at 50yds so I think rifle is okay. I have one full box left that I will shoot later, if results are better I'll post info here.

I was testing out some new loads for my Ruger model 77 and had a box of these with me. So I ran the box thru my chronograph. With H380 & Hornaday 55 gr: SD was 18.9 (0.49%) - 3820 fps..... The Prvi 55 gr: SD was 267 (7.8%) - 3421 fps.............About 1 out of 4 would be several 100 fps less. Thus, OK for blinking, but don't expect to wear out the 10 ring.

These rounds are ok. I do just as good with these as I do with my Varget 55gr reloads. These make excellent brass for the reloader. An interesting fact about these rounds is that they are not crimped, at least not that I can see or feel.

Do not buy this ammunition. I had two primer blowouts and it has damaged my ejector pin. I also reload and I have never experienced a primer blow out until I used this ammo. Glad I only bought one box. Ill stick to my reloads.
