Weaver Top-Mount Rings offer wide top steel caps that hold zero under the most jarring recoil. Loosen the thumb nuts and you can go back to iron sights in seconds. Later you can put the rings back on the base, tighten the thumb nuts and the scope will be very close to zero.

CHOOSING RINGS: Ring height is determined by measuring the outside objective (bell) diameter on your scope. If you aren't sure which rings will suit your needs, please refer to the Ring Height Application Chart.

Guess I drew the short ...

Guess I drew the short straw with these. The screws holding the rings together and hex wrench were both missing. I am returning them. I bought another brand locally because I don't have time to wait.

I have used no other ...

I have used no other mounts on hard kicking guns, for the last 40 years, because this one holds when others fail. The only trick is to carry a quarter with you to tighten the finger screw. Put all you have on the quarter, and it will always return to zero, and you will never put too much torque on it.....

These weaver mounts are a joke.They are outdated and very poor designed compared to newer styles. They twist and also leave a large unsightly gap. They also mar and scratch your tube big-time. There are so many better mounts to use instead of these.

Works today as it did 30 ...

Works today as it did 30 years ago. These are genuine Weaver rings that every other manufacturer tries to imitate. With these Weaver rings there are no small allen head screws that strip or deform. I have used these Weaver rings on my rifles from 223 thru 458 win mag. For rifles with iron sites it's as simple as undoing the thumb screws to slide the scope off for close shots like elk in timber. Also I jockey the same scope between a shotgun with a slug barrel and an inline muzzleloader. Each has Weaver bases and the same scope with these rings can be used for each. Throw away those allen head rings and bases and replace them with Weaver. If Weaver rings and bases are still functioning on my grandfathers pre 64, 30-06 they are more than good enough for me.

I replace a set of ...

I replace a set of Millett rings with these. Cannot say enough good things about the build quality or ruggedness. Very simple design, super strong. Yes, it does take some trial and error to get the scope reticle level as you tighten the ring screws, but this is a superior product, worth the extra effort.

In my opinion, an ...

In my opinion, an excellent choice for use on lever action rifles where low mounting is desired. I use these low rings for a Weaver V-3 on a 44 Mag Win 94 Trapper. They are incredibly tight and mount the scope low enough for comfortable shooting. Initial mounting can be somewhat difficult, for the scope will tend to "roll over" to the right as the four screws are tightened, resulting in a misaligned cross hair. But once you get this fixed and your rifle zeroed, you'll not have any issues for years to come. An incredible value!

These rings are simply ...

These rings are simply the industry standard and what other manufacturers try to achieve. I have used other brands of "Weaver style" rings and they aren't the same. The Weaver products hold up to heavy recoil because of the strength of the crossbolt and thumb nuts, these are the parts that fail on the others. The matte finish on the these rings isn't that pretty and extremely flat but I like the simple, proven design.

I purchased these rings ...

I purchased these rings to replace the bulky, vertically-split rings that came with a Millett 1" red dot sight. These rings are mounted to a Buckmark pistol. The Buckmark top strap/scope base has to be removed to completely clean the gun, so it is important to be able to quickly remove the scope from the base without losing zero. These rings are compact and lightweight, and are easily removed and reinstalled with little or no change to scope zero -- a big improvement over the Millett rings. Overall this is a good product for a reasonable price. The only problem is that recoil tends to loosen the thumbscrews even if they are installed very tightly, and I nearly lost one of the thumbscrews before I realized what was happening. Because the scope is frequently removed I did not want to use Loc-Tite on the thumbscrews, and a common spit lock washer will mar the clamp. A 3mm (4mm will also work) metric wavy washer solved the problem; it does not mar the ring and it holds tight. I blackened the washers using a Sharpie so that they match the finish of the rings. There have been no further problems with loose thumbscrews since I added the washers.
