Bought four of these mags for an Appleseed shoot. All worked perfectly in my CZ 452 Military Training Rifle. Plastic construction was not a problem.

Just used this mag today while sighting in for squirrel shooting. Functioned perfectly, and no doubt it is nicer to have more rounds when the critters are moving! A few extra bucks for a product that works is worth it in my book! Works perfectly with HM2 ammo in my little varmint CZ 452.

As everything else CZ makes, these magazines are very well built. The springs have good tension and the magazine lips have great retention. On the negative side, they are a bit pricy and, at least my two ten-rounder, will only fit nine rounds. I have been using them for nearly one year and, try as I may, I just cannot manage to fit that tenth round in the mag.

The only negative I can ...

The only negative I can find with this mag is the high price. Because of that, I only bought two of them, one in the rifle while I reload the other one. I use mine mainly at prairie dog towns where I typically expend 150-300 rounds in an afternoon of shooting. There has NEVER been a failure to feed in many days of shooting in my CZ-452 American. The mags are somehwat easier to load than Ruger 10/22 rotary mags, and the CZ-452 is twice as accurate as a 10/22, at the least (I have a "good" 10/22, and it doesn't come close to a CZ-452). This mag is more comfortable to carry in a pocket than the square 10/22 mags. At the end of a day at a PD town, I have at least twice as many dead PD's when I take the CZ-452 and this mag instead of the 10/22 with rotary mags. Quite a feat when you consider that a slow bolt gun is soundly beating a semi-auto and rapid fire shots at grouped PD's or running PD's are out of the question. Of course, the much more accurate CZ-452 is the biggest part of the performance difference, but this mag is up to CZ levels of performance, which far exceeds Ruger levels of performance. I have 5 CZ firearms, all are nail drivers, all function flawlessly, and CZ gear tends to work flawlessly because they build to government agency standards which is their biggest customer base. In this instance, the polymer mag works well, and I see no difference between it and the standard steel mag except the capacity. Neither mag has ever failed me or needed to be cleaned, unlike 10/22 rotary mags which will jam when using dirty Mexican ammo. My CZ-452 with this mag has taken more PD's than any of my centerfires, as I get to do a lot more shooting for a lot less money and make a lot less noise and take many times more shots in a day.

This is the magazine provided from the factory with my CZ 452 Super Lux. I can't say I really appreciate the visual appeal of a little "banana" mag in a very traditional bolt gun, but I will say I loved it because I took it for granted (it functioned flawlessly with several brands of ammo) and I liked 10 rounds so that I spent more time shooting than loading.Thumbs up to CZ!
