The BlackHawk Rifle Cheek Rest with Rifle Ammunition Carrier is made with BlackHawk's exclusive non-slip material, this shell-holding cheek pad offers comfort while increasing the shooter's grip at the same time. The Rifle Cheek Rest is made of 1000 denier Nytaneon and closed cell foam and is designed to aid in eye relief efficiency, slipping and felt recoil to the neck and cheek. The tie down systems ensures proper fit to all rifle stocks. Due to product design, this allows for use by right-handed shooters only.

Good cheek rest

I had tried a few different rifle stock bullet holders and really didn't like any of them. Then I found this on Midway and I now have the one that works. It doesn't slide around up or down because you can anchor the bottom to your sling stud. It offers a little bit of support to your cheek weld and the small storage pocket is perfect for small items like a lens cloth for your scope and an extra battery for you lighted reticle. It holds five rounds, so you can carry your magazine full plus the extra five. More than enough for most situations in the field. A perfect fit for me. Worth the money.

I just recieved this product in the mail and put it on my Rem 700 VTR. It adjusts very well, the strap is way too long and having to put a piece of foam pipe wrap fixed the height problem as I am using a 3-25x 56 scope and it is mounted higher than normal. It works very well and I am completely happy with it now. It just needed some custom alterations and it's ready to go.

I have one of these and the one Midway sells. This product is made from much better materials and works perfect on my Savage MKII. I carry extra mags and ammo in the side zippered pouch. This could also hold a mini chart for your scope settings or a bore snake for cleaning. The string conforms and secures the rest nicely to the rifle stock. The rubberized pad has a good grip and make for an excellent cheek weld. Highly recommended.

This is a great product. Laces up very tight and stays in place well due to the rubbery material. On rifles with swivel studs on the stock you don't really even need the butt strap. The ammo carrier works fine, and the zippered pouch is great. I'm ordering more for my other rifles.

I own this cheek rest ...

I own this cheek rest along with the Blackhawk IVS version (Velcro straps). I prefer the padding on the IVS. It is a very soft smooth foam like fabric. On this sling its more like a very tacky rubberish fabric. I don't know if it is coated fabric or more of a rubber sheet because there is no stitching visible. It is very grippy but I worry about when its hot and I'm sweating, it might feel uncomfortable, become slippery, etc. I'm just not certain I want a hogue grip on my face basically. I think the retension system on this cheek rest is superior though, because it conforms to a variety of shapes. On the IVS velcro pad version I couldn't get it properly attached to my 77/22 because the skeletonized stock was too thin for the Velcro to tighten fully. Works like a charm however on this one. It's a thick shoe-lace like string. You might have to trim excess, but its not like it can't be easily replaced with a new string. The backstrap that goes around the buttpad is also Velcro adjustable just as the IVS model.This model plus the soft foamish pad on the IVS would make it a perfect product, but I'm not really complaining.

Put this on my X-bolt ...

Put this on my X-bolt chambered in 7mm-08. I found out the zipper pouch alone held 40 rounds. since my rifle can hold 4+1 i can carry 50 rounds total....on the gun. Not that i'll ever need it. I usually just put 20 rounds in the pouch with 5 in the gun and 5 in the elastic bands. So with 30 bullets, i also carry with me some things like matches in a medicine bottle and a compass and some small first aid stuff. Over all it works out very well for the smaller items you may carry with you. Worth every penny.

Well made, worth the price, takes some time to adjust it right but fits my Savage Scout well, able to remove bolt, just the right comb height for scope, holds one extra magazine in pouch.

Very good product however it is difficult to remove the bolt from the rifle with product installed. The rest is easy to put on and remove however once you get it positioned where you want it, you dont want to remove it.

It performs as claimed and is well constructed. The cheek rest is very comfortable and stable. It does require removal to pull the bolt on my 700 Sendero.
