The HIVIZ front sight assembly for Henry rimfire lever actions with round barrels replaces the existing barrel band with a new clamp on assembly. The sight features a bright fiber optic front sight with interchangeable LitePipes. The front sight is protected by a hood that has a cut-out so the fiber optic still receives ample amounts of light.

Easy to install and works ...

Easy to install and works great. HOWEVER, it does not come with screws, it expects you to reuse the screws on the existing sight. Unfortunately, the plastic Henry sights only use one screw at the top, while the HiVIZ sight uses one at the top, and one at the bottom to clamp. I had to scrounge up a screw for the clamp, and I was lucky to find one that kinda fit.

Excellent sight, much nicer than the plastic assembly. If you use it with a peep sight go ahead and order a higher front sight insert, at least .420", you'll need it.

Excellent low light visibility compared to stock sights. Fit and finish are perfect. Interchangeable sight inserts allow customization.

Couldn't have asked for better. I had the fat n' clunky plastic sight that came with the older Henry's and was very frustrated with it. Set up targets at 25 yards soon as I got the HiViz sight installed and had it adjusted after one 5 round group. Sight picture was easy to get, even in the low light in the house (I did NOT shoot in the house, however). Once outside I was hitting the small spinner (2 inch or so) repeatedly. Something I just couldn't do that with the original sight post. Light pipe changing was easy as well, though it's easier with the hood removed. Seems sturdy. Can't wait to use it more.

After waiting months for ...

After waiting months for this sight to ship, mine arrived yesterday and it was well worth the wait! The sight base and hood are every bit as rugged as the original and the fit was perfect. Once installed (a 2 minute job) I didn't even have to adjust the rear sight for elevation. The light pipe is BRIGHT and "nestles" into the groove on the rear sight far better than did the original rectangular front sight and draws your eye to exactly the right place creating a terrific sight picture. This sight is well worth the money in my opinion and makes my Henry even more fun to shoot

As I age, the front sight ...

As I age, the front sight has become more of a challenge. Not wanting to scope my Henry H001, this sight appears to be the answer to my problem. It arrived yesterday and was back ordered for about two weeks. The system comes complete with a nicely finished metal front sight housing and hood. It also has a neat little case which holds the extra lite pipes along with a tool to release the light pipes from the sight to make the changes desired. So far, it exceeds my expectations. Installation took maybe 5 minutes
