Product Information

Krieger M1 30-06 Springfield barrels are completely turned and threaded. Barrels are short chambered with approximately .010" to .020" left on the barrel shoulder. The gas port is located in the rifling groove, not on a land; and the gas cylinder, receiver threads, feed ramps, and the extractor groove are timed off this groove. Barrels qualify for use with service rifles under NRA rules. Installation requires removal of a slight amount of wood from the forearm and upper handguard.

  • 4 groove barrel, hand lapped rifling
  • Barrel is completely turned, threaded and milled, except approximately .010" to .020" is left on the barrel shoulder for proper timing when fitted.
  • Gas port drilled into a groove. Gas cylinder, receiver threads, feed ramps and extractor groove are timed off this groove.
  • Barrel is intended for a professional builder. Requires gunsmithing to include indexing and chambering.

    Heavy Match:
  • Barrel is a full 1.100" as far as possible from the breech until it tapers down to the .726" op rod guide.
  • Requires that wood be removed from the forearm and upper handguard for fitting into the stock.
