These pellets are made of a special PBA which allows for increased velocities and extreme penetration. Weight retention is as high as 90% and the pellets are stable at supersonic speeds. These pellets are great for hunting and are also extremely accurate.

Raptor PBA is the first non-lead Alloy Airgun Ammunition that increases velocity up to 25% over lead, while maintaining "match grade" accuracy. Specifically designed as a hunting load, the new PBA enables airguns which normally shoot 1000 fps to shoot up to 1200 fps, with tremendous penetration. In fact, the ammunition is 50% harder than lead causing penetration to be enhanced by up to 100% in tests in actual hunting situations as well as ballistic mediums. Raptor PBA test results show ballistic stability at super-sonic speeds and up to 90% weight retention using the new semi-pointed design.

Raptor is the first new alloy ammunition for airguns which is completely effective for small game hunting at much greater distance than lead pellets. In fact, the velocity and penetration is increased to the extent that all packaging is clearly marked "for hunting only, not to be used with airgun pellet traps." The additional hardness of the new alloy allows us it achieve tremendous accuracy and consistency during forming while the special multi-layer coatings lubricate and greatly enhance barrel life. As a lead free ammunition, Raptor PBA is environmentally friendly but very effective for hunting.

These were shot out of a Powerline 1000 Daisy rifle. These actually sound like a .22 round(subsonic).You can hear the echo blast from this round. I could not believe it was the same rifle. Killing all small game instantly. A bit pricey but worth it. I would recommend this round for anything bigger than a squirrel. Anything smaller would be overkill, the other rounds are enough. It added 200 fps in my gun 1200 fps all together real nice. The game I've taken have ranged from 15, 50 even 75 ft away. Dispatching them with head or chest shot. Try them & you'll see.

These are novelty ...

These are novelty pellets, produced to give Gamo rifles the fastest muzzle velocity for marketing purposes. They will come out of your airgun at amazing speeds, but their extreme light weight means that the power your rifle or pistol is producing is probably lower than with lead, and the air resistance will slow this pellet down very fast, they lose retained energy faster than lead, so taking those 30-50 yard shots at squirrels is more likely to injure than kill. Pellets in general have an awful shape for sonic flight, this means that this pellet will tumble coming down through the sound barrier, leading to inaccuracy. A pellet with a head and a skirt is not meant to be fired sonic.A good pellet like the Kodiak is likely to produce the most power in your rifle although a bit slower, Crossman premier pellets are a much better buy.Also if used in magnum springers, it will likely not offer enough resistance, and the piston will hammer shut so fast the rifle will break down faster than with lead pellets.I got 15 years of airgun shooting, from springers to pre-charged rifles, from 30$ rifles to 2000$ ones, trust me you will be better off with lead pellets.

I am giving this pellet a 2-star fair rating but that is conditional on whether you want to use it for a "cool" factor ("Wow! These are fast and crack like a .22 rim-fire!") or whether you are wanting an effective, dependably accurate hunting pellet. The 12 reviews posted at the time I am writing this indicate some were getting good accuracy and smashing kills. Others say, "Nay." So it works sometimes. Here are some facts to consider rather than opinion: 1. Even with 200 fps more velocity, they have only 93% of the energy of a 7.9g lead pellet at the muzzle. 2. They do not retain velocity as well as some lead round-nosed pellets. This means they fall farther behind in energy downrange. 3. They cost as much as 10 times more than good lead pellets. 4. Accuracy varies from gun to gun and is often poor. My gun did not like them at all. If you want cool, go for it. I want something I can depend on as a reliable target or hunting pellet.

There are several factors to consider in whether this product will be beneficial to you. If you are looking for a hunting pellet, this is not one of the better choices. It is the same weight as a .177 cal. BB. Speed does not make it superior to slower lead pellets in energy. For example, this pellet left the barrel of my Crosman 2100 at 806 fps yielding a muzzle energy of 7.4 ft. lbs./sec. The RWS lead Superdome pellet left the muzzle at 705 fps for a muzzleenergy of 9.2 ft. lbs./sec. Since the RWS pellet also has a better ballistic character than this alloy pellet (I verified this over a chronograph measuring downrange velocity) the lead pellet increases its energy advantage downrange. Now if you want an alloy pellet that is just fast getting to the target and carries its velocity well, this is one of the better alloy offerings - if it is accurate in your gun. These pellets are not accurate in a good number of guns but from the reviews here you can see it works well for some. This pellet had at least a small velocity advantage to 40 yards over all other pellets lead or not. However, that advantage was greatest at the muzzle and diminished all the way to the 45 yard range where the lead pellets over-took it. I personally see no advantage to punching fast holes in paper at up to 10 times the cost, but to each his own.

I usually only shoot RWS and BeeMan pellets (highest quality) but have tried MANY other brands, designs and weights. I target shoot and do lots of accuracy testing compairing pellets side by side. I also do a fair amount of small game hunting. These pellets as mentioned should NOT be used in high power spring guns, that is reserved for heavy lead pellets so you wont damage your rifle. Now on to testing. I tried these in my two competition grade pneumatic pistols and a competition grade pneumatic rifle. All three resulted in horrible accuracy. With typical RWS , BeeMan pellets I can put 5 rounds into the same hole at 33 feet, where these group 3 to 4 inches! The pellets are so light that they quickly loose energy and bounce off hard targets where lead pellets easily penetrate. Even if they were accurate they would be no good for hunting at distances over 40 feet. Who cares how fast they are when accuracy is non existant and penetration is sketchy. Also the pellets are not lead so long term may damage your barrel. By far the worst pellets I have ever tried.

This is a super light pellet, has no mass relatively speaking, and will have little to no penetration at realistic air rifle hunting distances, not to mention accuracy problems-----but that's the good part---the bad part is in a springer air gun, you need a cushion of heated air to slow down, "cushion", the guns piston, so it doesn't slam into the end of the chamber---think of it as "dry firing" your air gun----The other end of the weight problem is too heavy of a pellet---A pellet doesn't start to move in a springer until the piston is almost at dead stop, and then the pellet takes off down the barrel, leaving a very hot but diminishing cushion of air to help "stop" the piston--this all takes place in a nano second-----If too heavy, the pellet takes off "later", and this trashes the "spring" pushing the gun's piston, like to much compression would do to the piston rods in your car----In a .177 stay between 7-10 grains or so; in a .22 try and stay around 11.5-15 grains or so----you can go more in either direction but it will take it out on the life of your gun----happy shooting!

I purchased these pellets with my first Gamo, the CFX. They are a great combination and very accurate. I can hit a pop can at 70+ yards, but these pellets definitely lack in power. I have lost multiple squirrels. They don't even knock over a can, just pass through them. Accurate, fast, but not powerful.

These are not worth your time or the added expense. I have used these in my Crosman Sierra Pro an the accuracy went from Great with Crosman Premiums to Terrible with Raptors.

They do increase the velocity, but they are so light that they have a supersonic crack when fired. And sometimes they may not be all that accurate either. But they are good for hunting small to medium sized game because unlike lead, they don't expand upon impact that much.

These are ok pellets but when paying 9 bucks for a hundred (almost the same that I pay for 22 cal CCI stingers) I really expect better quality control. MANY of the pellets were deformed to the point that I almost had force them into the breach while others would fall out if the gun was not held parallel to the ground. Of course this does not make for amazing accuracy. I will admit that the pellets that were formed correctly were accurate and they do make your pellet gun sound cool. And they are instantly equal to rabbits and sparrows.

These are very expensive ...

These are very expensive and do not live up to the claims. I did not see that much difference in point of impact performance. Any increased velocity was marginal at best. I think it is an expensive novelty. Buy the good old lead pellets and save your money.
