The Walther Tactical Pro Flashlight was designed with the end user in mind. It features a powerful 170 lumen output LED bulb, a tactical tail cap for so the user can flash and move and utilize this flashlight for home defense or room clearing. The Tactical Pro features machined aluminum construction with rubber seals to make it water resistant. The perfect light to have in the night stand at 170 lumens it has plenty of power rob an intruder of their night vision, giving you the upper hand.

This is a very bright ...

This is a very bright light thats solidly constructed, inexpensive and all things considered a very good flashlight. Down side is the batteries that came with it were very bad. Im glad they didn't come installed. And the on\off button is a little "mushy" for lack of a better word. No felt or heard click. But I will buy another.

This is no tactical flashlight. Do NOT bet your life on this light. It's a great light to use for camping or dog walking after dark. The beam has a wide throw, but still does reach pretty far. I really value that about the light. It is a performer in that regard. However, the tail cap switch is the failure of the component and why, despite its great value, I can't give it a higher rating. The switch doesn't allow for momentary operation. You have to fully depress the switch and not until the switch comes back out will the light come on. Oddly, the switch isn't really positive in feel and sometimes I have to cycle the button a couple of times before it will latch and operate. Having said that, I just replaced the batteries and the first test of the batteries had the switch not working at all. I thought the new batteries were junk and almost threw them away. I must have cycled the switch 10 times before I saw a flash. 5 more and it started working on request but not all the time. Now, it seems to be working but I don't feel I can trust it. This light does not go on the nightstand nor in the Jeep. It sits on the counter by the back door. This light has 5 star performance-for-values but 1 star reliability. This could be remedied by a new, momentary switch that's a little more durable. Good light. Bad switch.

I purchased this for use as a professional "Tactical" flashlight but I was disappointed to find out that the momentary switch will only work after the tailcap button is depressed fully and released. Once the light is on, you can partially depress the tailcap button to interupt the light. This is counter intuitive and not effective for tactical use. The tailcap button is quieter than both my Streamlight and SureFire products, however it is mushy and lacks a positive feel when engaged. This is a very bright light that is great for overnight camping or walking the dog at night. If you are looking for a very bright light for domestic use at a great price this flashlight is up to the task, however I would not bet my life on it as a "Tactical" flashlight. Made in China.

Misunderstood Flashlight Maybe

I've had mine for several days now and find it to be an excellent addition to my outdoor equipment. I'm not sure I understand the complaints about the cap switch.

Mine works fine, but not like most cap switches I've used in the past. This one does not appear to be mechanical, but electronic. In other words, you are not going to feel the "click" of the switch and the connection established. It does so long before you reach the bottom of the stroke.

Practice with it. And if yours is like mine, it only takes a partial push to get the thing to turn on.

As is noted by others "your experience may vary".

It does what I need it to do

I got this 6 months ago, but given the range of comments, I waited to write about it until I had used it a while. We live in a rural area and I needed a bright light that wasn't a 5 lb spotlight. I can startle coyotes at 75-100 meters. You can't focus the beam, but it is so bright you can see what is in the light even as it widens with distance. It suits my purposes.

Purchased this flashlight a while back, they were on sale. I'm not much on useing things that require the CR123 battery, but that is what it takes. However, this thing is super bright. Amazing for it's compact size. I live on six acres and have an outbuilding for my reloading. Frequently walk down in the evenings to do a little work before calling it a day. This light is my constant companion for those trips. I took a fall last year, broke tail bone, so now I'm very careful about my footing especially after dark. With this light, no worries, I can see for 1oo yds well. If it goes on sale again I will buy another to keep in the truck.

I've had my Walther Tactical Pro for just a shade over a year. It's never failed to turn on. I've never had a problem with the switch. It's bright and and the LED has not failed. For the money it's been a fantastic piece. Highly recommended, and I may just buy another one just to have it around.

I bought two of these lights on sale just to keep in our vehicles. While they are not quite as bright as a Surefire 6PX, they certainly are very bright and less than half the cost. Highly recommend. I will buy several this year for Santa gifts.

Excellent light. I don't use it in a truly tactical sense. It's just the brightest flashlight in my house. I now use if for boating at night. It lights up my whole marina when I'm coming in. As others have said, it's got great distance too! Buy several! You won't be disappointed.

Just got this little beauty! A heck of a light for the money. It doesn't have strobe or pre programmed SOS. It's on or it's off. I have several tactical lights (I love having a powerful light that fits in a pocket), this is the most powerful of them all, no larger than the others and much less costly. Quality seems quite good.

Flashlight is bright when it turns on. Frequently have to smack the flashlight to turn it on after pushing the switch. I bought it on sale for $20 and now it's $17.
