Was not happy with the ...

Was not happy with the finish quality of this part. The bottom edges were rough with small gouges that would not allow this base to be seated properly against the receiver. It's functional but not even close to an optimal mating surface. I got a Nightforce base and the workmanship is so far superior it's worth the extra money.

Went on my Remington 700 SPS Tactical tight and smooth, no issues at all. Very good for the price. Paired this base with some Weaver Tactical rings, looks great!

Purchased this for my Rem ...

Purchased this for my Rem 700 SPS Tactical 223. The full combo includes a Weaver 1-piece base, Burris XTR low sized rings and Nikon M223 3-12X42 scope. The rings have more than enough clearance and the multi slot base allows proper eye relief and correct scope mounting.Mounting everything was easy and fit and finish are excellent.

I thought this was an excellent product for the money. I topped this mount off with Weaver medium 6 hole tactical rings and a Nikon Monarch scope and have consistanly shot sub MOA groups with my Rem 700 VTR.

This is an ok mount for rings with loose tolerances but it is not mil spec and will not work with milspec rings.

I bought one of these for a Rem 700 in 308. Mounted perfectly and with Weaver high 6 hole tactical rings, it does the job. This option will save you a ton of wallet lining.

Did the job well until I ...

Did the job well until I needed something with a 20moa, which is the only reason I'm replacing it. If you need something on a budget until you can buy something else this is the way to go. Mounted Leupold PRW rings and I've been shooting sub 1/2moa.
