AccuBond represents the most advanced bonded core bullet technology to date. Through a proprietary bonding process that eliminates voids in the bullet core, AccuBond marries Nosler's traditional copper-alloy jacket with its special lead-alloy core. The result is a bullet that flies true, penetrates deep, won't cause extensive barrel fouling, and will retain 60-70% of its weight. The polymer tip helps protect against deformation while initiating expansion upon impact. This is not loaded ammunition.

This is the best bullet I have tried yet in my 30/06 rifle. I get groups measuring right at 1 inch at 100 yards. The rifle averages about 2 inches at this range with most bullets hand loaded, and with factory loads. Obviously this is to some degree a case of a rifle favoring a certain bullet, but it does tell me this is a fine accurate bullet with a lot of potential. How does it perform on game though? So far I have shot 5 coyotes with the bullet loaded to 2900 feet per second with a stiff dose of IMR4831. Ranges have been as far as 300 yards. Every coyote was dead before they hit the ground. So I know this bullet expands well on light game at goodly distances. To check how tough the Nosler 165 grain AB is I fired 3 of them into fine sand in a bullet trap box I welded together. Each penetrated several inches deeper than Hornady Interlock, Speer Hot-Cor and Sierra ProHunter bullets weighing 180 grains. Also, this bullet penetrated almost as deep as the Nosler 180 grain Partition in this test. I look forward to trying it out on bigger game come next fall (elk and mule deer in Arizona, Colorado and Wyoming). If things go as well as I suspect I will have all the bullet I'll ever want out of this new favorite for my 30-06.

I have found that in my rifle (Weatherby Mark V, Ultra Lightweight, 308 Win. 24 in. barrel) the 165 Gr. AccuBond is very sensitive to seating depth. The standard depths yielded accuracy that was completely unacceptable (outside of 2.5 inches). Yet when running the medium load with a C.O.L. .040in. above SAAMI maximum I was able to shoot 3/4 MOA. I had nearly given up on the bullet until I played with its seating depth. In hindsight I would say that this bullet is too tough for animals unless it is shot about 3000 FPS and has a proper seating depth that is custom tuned for your rifle. If you can meet those requirements though, I'm sure you'll have no problem dropping any game that is not dangerous. As a side note: if you're looking for a bonded bullet for standard caliber rifles, consider the Hornady InterBond. It has a thinner jacket and should yield better accuracy when velocities are below 3000 FPS.

getting <2" groups at 300 yards from my Winchester 1885 chambered in .300WSM with this bullet in front of 64.5gr of IMR4350. Have shot two deer so far with it, both at ~100 yards, neither required a second shot and neither went more than 50ft. I will stick with this bullet.

awsome bullet! loaded these for my 7600 in 308 win. at the range im shooting 1" @ 100 with rem brass WLRP and rl15. shot 4 deer this year with these bullets all 1 shot kills range was 65yards closest to 150 very nice .30cal entrance hole and exit holes the size of a snuff can lid. 3 of the 4 dropped in there tracks the 4th took 2 steps and fell over. all shoulder shots

I loaded this bullet in my 30-06 and shot a large bull last year. The bull was at 172 large steps, the bullet chronographed at 2986 FPS. The first bullet hit the center of the chest head on. The bull ran into the trees, the cows went the other direction but stopped and looked back. The bull ran back in the open and stopped. I shot again the bull hunched his back I shot again, the bull was down. I walked to the elk and at about 50 yards the bull got up and ran. I shot again and had to jam another round in on the fifth shot the bull was down. Three shots were solid vital hits. One hit the liver, one in the gut. I have shot 11 bulls with this gun and only twice before did I have to fire a follow up shot. I will go back to the 165 SST bullets they do a massive amount of damage in the engine room.

Used this bullet in my Browning A-bolt .30-06. Loaded it on top of H380 and saw a 5 shot average of 2,883 fps. As with one other reviewer (Casey from Oregon) I found that seating depth was much more critical for accuracy of this bullet than with other similar bullets such as the Hornady SST of same weight. Accuracy drastically deteriorates for this load in my rifle if I seat the bullet too deeply. For my rifle, COL stated in the manuals winds up being too deep. I have used other Nosler Accubond bullets in other weights and calibers and love the drop-in-their-tracks results the bullet delivers. Getting the seating depth just right with this finicky bullet is worth the trouble.

Used this in my 308 Remington vtr on my last hog wild boar hunt. Shot him in the heart and double lung from about 40 yards. It broke his front leg and turned his insides to jelly. Loaded with IMR 4064 out of a 20in barrel. Shot under .75 group at 100 yards. Didn't make really big hole in and out but sure did a lot of soft tissue damage. It was About a 300lb boar. I did shot it twice but the first shot would of done the job.

This bullet is flawless. Seated .03 off the lands with BL-C (2) in my .308 Savage Model 10, I consistently shoot .5 MOA at 100 yards. This bullet delivers sudden death to whitetails. Case in point; I shot my deer during the 2010 season in Garrett county Maryland at 235 yrds. (Dressed weight of 162 lbs.) The deer was across a hollow walking slightly down hill from my position. The bullet struck the front of the neck, passed through and into the deer's back above the left shoulder, traveled through the torso, broke the right femur of the rear leg and existed into the hillside. The deer crumpled on the spot. Thanks Nosler!

This is an update to a previous post...shot a typical 2 1/2 yr old deer at 80 yds with this bullet and Rl-19. The deer went about 40 yds before piling up. double lung/heart shot. Bullet exited, with a large exit hole. It went exactly where I aimed, and killed the deer cleanly. Can't ask for anything better.

At 2800 fps out of a Remington 700 30.06, this bullet groups .5" (3 shots 100 yds), slightly better than Nosler's Ballistic Tip (.75"). Shot a large doe at 50 yds, where bullet passed through rib on entry and shattered the scapula on exit leaving a 50 cent-piece size hole. The doe ran 20 yds before collapsing. The interesting part is that later I found the bullet tore a 3" long and 1 " deep gash through the trunk of a Virginia pine before hitting the whitetail. A tough and accurate bullet.
