Ordered the grips for my ...

Ordered the grips for my Ruger SRH in 454 Casull. The grips did not fit well at all. The upper part of the grip would flop fore & aft on the frame. This product was simply not usable at all. Returned for credit and bought s set of Hogue's. The Hogue's were not as cushy a material and thus likely wouldn't absorb as much recoil but at least they fit the gun.

Lousy fit and appearance. ...

Lousy fit and appearance. Ruger grips and Hogue grips are one piece and well secured to the gun. These grips are split with a very unattractive gap near the trigger guard which causes inadequate protection for the finger placed near the trigger guard. Also, the Ruger and Hogue grips are well secured to the gun. These grips are secured by the tension of one horizontal screw and do not incorporate the original retaining pin that comes with the original "Super Redhawk". Do not waste your time or money buying these grips!!! "Tamer" grips are what are on the S&W 500 Magnum and they have performed well in taming the recoil of this punishing revolver.

When reading the other ...

When reading the other reviews I almost ordered the Hogue grip, but my previous Pachmayr purchases were just what I wanted. S&W mod 27, Ruger Black Hawk, Contender 35 Rem.The texture of the Pachmayr feels just right to me. The fit at the rear of the trigger guard could be better but it works just fine. I took the Hogue (Factory) off my 44 S&W stainless because to me it was not soft like the Pachmayr's I already had.

I was very disappointed ...

I was very disappointed with the fit, finish, and function on my Ruger Super Redhawk (SR). I have Presentation grips on other guns and they are fabulous, but the Decelerator grips for the SR look and feel like they were made by third-grader. I would return mine if I didn't have to pay a restocking fee; my advice is : don't bother-get some Hougue wood grips for the SR instead.

Bought the grips for my ...

Bought the grips for my Super Redhawk .480. They don't fit really well and are loose on the gun, but as soon as you pull the trigger you thank them for the super soft rubber that absorbs 90 percent of the felt recoil in your hand. It still jumps up a ways, but you don't flinch from thinking about the recoil. I'd buy them again.
