As previously stated, this is an excellent product. However, in my opinion 'Lubricating Solution' is a bit misleading. Since cleaning a firearm in an ultrasonic unit with a water-based solution removes ALL oil and grease, a water displacing lubricant must be used to get the cleaner out and to coat all metal surfaces. This product does just that, and very well. It will air dry completely leaving only a thin coating on your firearm. I went to my local discount retailer and purchased a few disposable 9x13 baking pans and wire grilling trays (like for fish and chicken) to fashion some poor man's drying 'racks'. This solution does not seem to 'lubricate' the moving parts, however. I still add Tetra Gun, Rem Oil, etc. to high friction and high wear surfaces after all the parts are dry. Other ultrasonic lubricants I have used are like thick oils and your weapon will come out of the unit dripping with grease. This product allows you to protect all metal parts from rust and deterioration and grease only the parts you feel need it. No more sloppy gun and oil-spattered hands. One gallon will last quite a while, too. I suggest using only enough to cover your gun/parts in the unit, and then store what you use in a separate container when finished. Once that portion becomes unusable (milky or cloudy consistency that does not settle to the bottom after a day or so) dispose of it properly (follow all local laws!) and repeat the process. I am still on my first gallon after 50+ handgun cleanings, a dozen or so AR-15 bolt carrier group cleanings, and several tool and various part cleanings (ultrasonics are GREAT for cleaning up those old nasty bore brushes!). I wish I had purchased an ultrasonic years ago, and wish I had purchased this product along with it...
