Sierra BlitzKing bullets were specifically designed to combine the well-known accuracy of the MatchKing with devastating and explosive expansion on varmints. The thin copper jackets enhance accuracy and allow for extreme expansion which is initiated by the green, polymer tip. These bullets were designed to be fired at velocities up to 4400 fps.

This is a devastating coyote bullet. My rifle is a .223 with a 1-9" twist. My loads are kept in the moderate range. This round literally breaks apart after about 1-1.5" of penetration. No exit wounds with a small .22 caliber entrance wound. One caveat, quartering shots need to be accurate or the bullet won't get into the vital area.

The BlitzKing bullets are ...

The BlitzKing bullets are too specialized to be used as a bullet you load for a variety of animals. I started using this bullet on Prarie Dogs and Rabbits, and the performance was impressive. However, on the 3rd hunt I took them on, I called in a coyote and I put one shot into his chest at 110 yards from my 223 remington. The dog jumped up, howled, and fell to the ground trying to run. Another shot went into his ribs behind the front leg, and the 3rd shot went into the fleshy part of his neck. When I got up to this animal, I still had to finish it off with my 9mm pistol. Upon inspection, all 3 shots impacted some semi-hard surface and fragmented on the surface, none of them penetrating more than 2 inches. What was more disturbing was the amount of pulverized flesh laying around from where the coyote had thrashed around after being shot. If I lived in an area with more woody cover, I never would have been able to find this animal, and it would have died a slow, painful death. As impressive as this bullet was on small varmints, it is simply too fragile even at modest 223 velocities to be used on medium sized varmints. Since I encounter MANY coyotes I will not use this bullet anymore. Besides, a bullet that WILL kill a coyote will certainly kill a rabbit or prarie dog.

I have a Remington 700 223 and this is my bullet of choice. A hole in a hole at 100 yards and very good at 300 yards. I would highly redcomend this bullet to serious shooter.

After following exactly what the Sierra manual listed for using RE-15 and using CCI-BR2 with Lapua brass with an O.A.L of 2.350 in my 22-250 Savage...tonight I went out and put a 3 shot group in one ragged hole. Very nice!

This bullet shot a .146" three-shot group in my newly barreled (22nd, 23rd, 24th shot) Savage 12 BVSS, 1:12 twist from 100yds. My ten year old pet load with the 50gr Vmax has been replaced.

This bullet has brought incredible accuracy to some 223s and 22-250s that I have relaoded for. This is a true .25MOA shooter at 100yds with my friend's Remington 700 SPS Varmint 223 at 100yds when sitting on top of H4895. He recently Shot a 3.5" group at 501yds using this bullet and his 700. I am using this bullet with my Savage M12 22-250 and can shoot 5rds into a .3MOA group at 100yds- consistently. Shot a Ground hog at 247yds with it and there was no exit hole. just a bag of what felt like jelly, lol. Today, I dusted a Coyote at 288yds broadside just behind the shoulder. It dropped on the spot and further examination showed the the bullet did appear to expand properly for such a thin jacket. I highly recomend these bullets for thin skinned varmints and outstanding accuarcy in the 22 caliber chamberings.

This is the flatest/most devastating/best shooting bullet I've ever come across in 35 years of reloading. I have it in my Weatherby 22-250 for critter control, even hogs with a properly placed shot. Pushed around 3900 fps I've had no problems with drift other than on windy days obviously. I highly recommend this bullet.

I have been shooting these for the last 4 years in a semi custom 700 Rem 223. Changed the stock trued the action and I have a 26" full bull barrel. I am getting .35" 5 shot groups with this @ 100. I get .75" 5 shot groups @ 200. I have used these on yotes out to 500 yds and they have never failed me. Going to Wyoming to celebrate a friends retirement to shoot prairie dogs in June wonder how far these will work I guess I will find out. Would recommend these to others. I shoot the NON coated bullets.

Over Varget, these are the most accurate load out of my Bushmaster predator with 1 in 8" twist barrel. I've been told that the v-max's are more deadly on game, but I can not attest to that.

I use the BlitzKing in my model 70 Winchester coyote in the .223 WSSM. I hunt the eastern Coyote and this bullet is awesome. I can shoot .250" inch groups all the time. For the Coyotes it's nothing but shock and awe. I have no problem with the long shot and seems to hold well in a stiff wind. If youre looking for a good all round varmint bullet this one is for you.

I tried several types of bullets and powder combinations. This what I settled on, blitzkings and benchmark powder. This provides a 1" group out of my dtech upper, dpms lower at 200 yards. This is my go to load. I cannot do better
