Sierra MatchKing bullets have very thin jackets and are held to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight. These Hollow Point Boat Tail bullets have a small meplat to produce a higher ballistic coefficient. Their accuracy has been acclaimed worldwide and they have been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined. The 22 Caliber 77 Grain MatchKing proves to be an extremely accurate bullet capable of being loaded to an OAL that will allow loading into magazines. This is not loaded ammunition.

SMK's are my go-to pill for hand loading. They are consistent and accurate, and my 1:7 twist 18" AR loves them. I would highly recommend the use of a comparator set or a meplat trimmer when using these, because there is pretty ridiculous inconsistency with the meplat. Other than that, no complaints.

In my Stag 3G AR15 1 in 8 twist barrel I was shooting off the shelf 55gr ammo and at 100yrds the best I could get was a 4" group.I started reloading with the 77gr HPBT and the grouping went down to 1/4" at 100yrds and some hit the same ragged hole. I am loading with Ramshot Tac powder and Federal Gold Match primers this combo is "money in the bank". Sierra bullets are the best at these prices.

Used this 77 gr bullet with a Savage Model 12 Low Pro with outstanding results. Shot a 3 shot groups of 5 groups to agg. of 1.7 inches at 300 yards. AA2230 pushed these 77 gr. SMK's to 2950! Will be purchasing more of these guys.

These are great. I loaded up with some new Lake City brass from Midway and BLC-2. I just won a match at my local range. Slow fire prone results: 200-19x.

A friend of mine and I both bought Rock River DCM rifles. They are guaranteed 3/4 minute accuracy. The 77 grain match kings did just that. We shot various loads and learned that powder charge wasn't very important and neither was seating depth. Both the guns would typically shoot .750 or less. I haven't tried these at 600 yards yet but will soon as I hope they will shoot as well as 80 grain bullets because the 77's can be seated deep enough to fit in the magazine.

Excellent long range bullet. Very consistent geometry and weight. I thought the barrel on my varmint AR was finished (I've fired over 6000 round through it) until I switched from the 69 SMK's to the 77s. These are long enough to shoot well despite a worn out throat. Last weekend I shot a 1/2"- 10 round group at 100 and a 5" - 10 round group at 600 (conditions were near perfect). My best groups are achieved with Varget.

If you only want to use ...

If you only want to use one load from 200 to 600 yards in Service Rifle competition, put this bullet ahead of 24.0 grains of Varget and have at it. This bullet has a fairly short ogive for its weight. As a result, it will stabilize in a 1 in 9" twist barrel while the 80 gr. Sierra will not. It can be loaded to magazine length and still be accurate out at 600 yards. If you seat to the lands the accuracy will be better yet.

Truly the gold standard in bullet design and production. With either a max load of TAC or Reloader 15, new R-P cases and match primers, I can get sub-MOA with just about any 1:7 or 1:8 AR-15.Absolutely the best that money can buy.Period.

Shoots accurately in my Bushmaster DCM rifle. Allows you to load magazne length ammo that will still work well to 600 yds. Suggest Varget or RE15 with it.
