Sierra MatchKing bullets have very thin jackets and are held to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight. These Hollow Point Boat Tail bullets have a small meplat to produce a higher ballistic coefficient. Their accuracy has been acclaimed worldwide and they have been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined. This is not loaded ammunition.

WOW! With my custom bull-barreled AR-15 (DPMS barrel w/ 1:9" twist) I was able to shoot a 5-shot group of one ragged hole at 100 yards (less than .2") and can consistantly group under 2" at 300 yards. I am using 24.5 grains of Varget with Lake City brass and an OAL of 2.245". I never thought I'd be able to shoot as well with a poodle popper as with my bolt action .308, but these sierras have gotten me there!

I get inconsistent COAL readings, I separate them by bullet lengths in .001 and then they seat consistently, but then I have to adjust each group. Not sure why this is, but I get over .010 in projectile measurements. It adds a lot of time to loading. I have to say they are great shooting, Im getting 3/4 moa @ 200yds out of my sweet 16. @ 2.260 coal.

These are my all time favorites - they really do set the standard by which I judge all other bullets. They are consistently uniform in every aspect - weight, profile, and most importantly, performance. They shoot very well in my not only my bolt guns, but also my gas guns. Sierra generally throws 1 or 2 extra in the box, so if I goof up a round, I've got an extra to cover the error. For the price of these - you just can't go wrong.

I get constantly under MOA out to 200 yards with this bullet when placed over Varget or BL-C2 through a AR with a 20 inch Wilson Combat Match barrel. The copper is soft enough that when chambered it does scratch on the feed ramps but does not seem to hurt accuracy any. No complaints when using this bullet on close range deer ether usually about 15-18 in of penitration, the only bullet I recovered was pretty well demolished under 35 grains left.

These bullets were surprising not only because of the consistency and excellent accuracy, but the flexibility in the performance. They shot five shots under an inch at 200 yards with a wide spectrum of ladder test loads and powders, almost regardless of the powder I was using as long as I stayed within a burn rate spectrum between H322 and Varget, with the best results in the middle of that spectrum using AA2460 and H335. 200 yards was almost no challenge with this projectile in a decent 1:7 HBAR and reasonably well developed loads...

Update to my other post...the AR mag will not take a round over 2.265, Seirra minimum COAL is 2.260. I found near .012in in proj difference, even when you measure from the Ogive, you can have COAL all over the place, leaving rounds that wont feed into the magazines. It adds a bit of time to loading, however, this is the only real choice for long range AR shooting with a 1-9 twist.

I'm getting 1/2 MOA at 100 yards out of my target model Bushmaster with 1:9 twist and it only has a cheap 3X9X40 scope on it. I haven't had time to experiment with other loads so I may be able to squeeze out a little more accuracy using these bullets. The load I chose to try them is. IMR 4895 and Remington 7 1/2 primers in LC 11 cases. My first trip to the range resulted in some pretty impressive five shot groups.

I loaded some of these for my bull bbl AR 15 and with a Nikon 2X8 scope, shot a sub one inch (not MOA) group at 200 yds with them. Excellent bullets and extremely consistent.
