Product Information

Sierra MatchKing bullets have very thin jackets and are held to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight. These Hollow Point Boat Tail bullets have a small meplat to produce a higher ballistic coefficient. Their accuracy has been acclaimed worldwide and they have been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined. The 6.5mm 142 Grain MatchKing is extremely high performing at long ranges out to 1000 yards. This bullet features a longer ogive radius than the 140 Grain MatchKing resulting in a higher ballistic coefficient. This is not loaded ammunition.

Love em Love em! I have ...

Love em Love em! I have been using these in my Savage 11 Creedmoor with a 1-8 twist and it loves these bullets! Getting .08 MOA out to 200 yards and going to see how well the do with some more distance. 100 yard groups are all right at .3-.4" with 1 gr more then the Hornady box load on the 140's!

Bought an old Swedish ...

Bought an old Swedish Mauser 1902 so I didn't have to chase the brass all over at the public range,these bullets shoot,1/4moa or less at 100 yrds for me,despite the dark bore.Wish I could have seen how it shot back in 1902 when it was new.Mod 96 Carl Gustov,iron sights.The 120gr shoot just as well,with 38grof IMR4895 for the 140's and 39gr for the 120's. Very tight groups.

Produced excellent accuracy in a factory Sako Finn-light (one hole at 75 yds. The ballistic coefficient must be right on because calculated come-up was dead on at 600 yds

I use the 142 in my ...

I use the 142 in my 1000yd 6.5-06 match rifle. Loads of H4350,IMR 4350, VV N160 and VV N165 have all prduced accuracy of .5MOA in two different Krieger barrels. They have wind drift equal to the 300 magnums with a great deal less recoil.

This bullet is the best ...

This bullet is the best I've seen for the 6.5-284 used in matches. It bucks the wind like the big 30's and has far less recoil. With the right load and rifle .537" groups at 200 yard are the average and perform superbly even in 1000 yard matches.

The BEST and most ...

The BEST and most ECONOMICAL match bullet IN 6.5mm for precision long range shooting. Consistently uniform from base to ogive and bullet weight is ALWAYS within +/- 0.2 grain. Minimal, if any run out. Without fail, this bullet will hold sub 0.75 MOA over 10 shots. Weigh and sort your cases, group your 142's SMK's by ogive length, and your groups, extreme spread, and standard deviation will shrink dramatically with this Match bullet. Hands down the best match performer in the 6.5mm/.264 caliber range, PERIOD!

The best 6.5 I found for ...

The best 6.5 I found for NBRSA 1,000 yard benchrest competition. These weighed out much closer than Lapua or Berger. Set Arizona record of 3" for the light gun 5-shot group and tied world record 5 shot score with a 50-3X. I will not use any other 6.5 bullet.
