Sierra MatchKing bullets have very thin jackets and are held to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight. These Hollow Point Boat Tail bullets have a small meplat to produce a higher ballistic coefficient. Their accuracy has been acclaimed worldwide and they have been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined. The 30 Grain 220 Grain MatchKing is widely respected as one of the most accurate bullets available. It has been used to win countless championships and set numerous world records in various long range shooting competitions. This is not loaded ammunition.

Hadn't tried Sierra ...

Hadn't tried Sierra bullets to much in the 300 WM, but these made me a believer! I followed the load for US Military MK248 Mod 1 long range application and was VERY pleased! 1/2 MOA at 100 yards consistently with H-1000 and I didn't even play with the seating depth; just 3.5" COAL. I guess I could try fine tuning it but I found that most any Matchkings aren't picky when it comes to seating depth and I guess if it isn't broke don't try to fix it! I will be trying the 210 gr Sierra VLDs next Sierra recommended the same load data as the 220 gr...

This is one of my favorite bullets for long rang applications, I used it in my modified Rem700police in 300 ultra mag, I achieved .73 groupings at 200yds and 1.35 groupings at 600yds. I highly Recommend this bullet I will be ordering a hundred more.

Excellent bullet for my 300 Whisper. 1/2" @ 100 yards and Hole-in-Hole @50 yards.Velocity is 1040 +/-10 fps using Accurate #9. Individual bullet weights are right on.

Used these bullets in a ...

Used these bullets in a 300 Winchester Magnum and was very pleased. They are very consistent in weight- right down to tenths of a grain for the most part. They have a nice BC and work well at extended ranges (300+). The best part for me is their length, and even with a factory Remington chamber, I am able to load to the desired .02" off the rifling. If you load to the ogive, loads are consistent to the thousanth of an inch, even though the OAL of the bullet can vary by .011". With these bullets I can consistently shoot .3" groups at 100 yards, which is not true of other brands and weights. I will definitely will buy these again- they are worth the extra money.

These bullets are ...

These bullets are awesome. I use these in my 300 RUM Rem 700 Police Sniper Rifle. After loading with an amount of IMR 4350 6 Shots (2 groups) went into .75 of an inch. If you subtract the 2 cold barrel shots it is 4 rounds into less than .4 of an inch. I tried to set up a shot at 500 meters last deer season but one stepped out at 12 meters. oh well, but lesson learned. Head shots only to at least 300m. Not to be too descriptive but no body meat was damaged because there was no head left. An awesomely accurate bullet to the 700m I have shot it to so far.

Best bullets for .308 to ...

Best bullets for .308 to 600 yards. Over that go to the 175 or 190 Grain Sierra. Much more stable at distance, IF you have a 1-10 twist barrel. If a 1-12 twist, stick with the 168.

This is a great bullet, I consistently am scoring better at the local matches I attend. With this weight of bullet, wind is not a factor or is very minimal out to 500 yards. Firing from an HS precision Heavy tactical rifle in 300 win mag.
