Sierra MatchKing bullets have very thin jackets and are held to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight. These Hollow Point Boat Tail bullets have a small meplat to produce a higher ballistic coefficient. Their accuracy has been acclaimed worldwide and they have been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined. This is not loaded ammunition.

I load these with IMR ...

I load these with IMR 4034 with benchrest2 cci primers, for 22-250 you can hit a crow at 100yds and it will look like you shook out a down feathered pillow. A must for 22cal handloaders.

One of the best 224 ...

One of the best 224 bullets. I have shot these in .223, 22-250, and 22-250 AI and they perform extremely well on varmints. They will shoot very tight groups from the bench also and have been used by many BR shooters.I use Lapua and Remington brass with Benchmark, H380 and Varget respectively. I highly recommend these if you are a .224 enthusiast. You will be impressed!

These are great bullets ! ...

These are great bullets ! I've been using them for a while now and I load them in a couple cartridges. These bullets held sub MOA as far as I shot them which was up to 500 yards in my Rem. 700 SPS 223 Rem. I also shoot them in my Winchester Model 670 in 225 Win. and they shoot wonderful holding a minute of angle or better at 100 yards. Durability is a must for me as well as many others and you will find these Sierra bullets offer that ! Ive had successful one shot instant kills on groundhogs out to 500 yards with these ! Couldnt ask for a more consistant easy to load bullet than this !

In my Remington 700 BDL. ...

In my Remington 700 BDL. My Triple Deuce .222 makes a 5 shot ragged hole with the 52 grain HPBT at 100 yards. The powder I use is an old favorite. IMP 4064. At 200 yards with the same bullet, the best group to date has been just under .85" Not to bad for a rifle that has just hit 22 years old.

I got a box of Matchkings ...

I got a box of Matchkings years ago and they were all I could get at deer season starting. I used them in my .243. Every deer I shot using these fell right on the spot. I ran out this last year and went to order more and they said they were not for deer. Well they have done a heck of a job for me and I am sticking with them. I bought some these for my .223 and man they do a good job also. Deer dont go anywhere. I am still sticking with them. I do have some Gamekings jhp bt also but I am still sticking with theses Match kings. I shot a hog in the neck right behind the head last week and the Match king jhp bt .223 went through and took out all of the neck from the neckbone out the other side with an unbelievable size hole. They give really good accuracy and you will not be disappointed with these bullets.

So far I am well pleased ...

So far I am well pleased as usual with Sierra's performance. I am loading for my wife Remington 788 .222. Yes, .222. Before the weather got to bad I was able to obtain 1-1/8" groups at 200 yards. That was with a stock trigger and stock. I am building a thumbhole pillar bedded stock and putting in a Timney trigger this winter. I expect further improvement in my reloads and groups this spring. So, dust off your .222 and give the .223 boys and girls heart burn!

Hands down the best ...

Hands down the best grouping bullet I've experimented with in my factory 1:9 twist 26" .223 barreled Ruger Target rifle. After finding the recipe it liked, sub .400 five shot groups center to center at 125 yards EVERY time. Sub .300 center to center five shot groupings are a common occurrence. I believe tighter groups are possible with a stable bench and a better shooter. I can't wait to see what this bullet will do in a longer situation. This is the only bullet I'll be recommending to anyone reloading for a 1:9 .223.

Just resurrected a Rem. ...

Just resurrected a Rem. 700 .222 cal. Rifle with K-10 scope that was not fired for 56 years using reloaded PRVI ammo due to no primers or powder available. Used Sierra 52 gr HPBT bullets and measured powder on each round. It gave me .25" 5 and .4" 10 shot groups at 100 yards. Can't wait to reload with BR primers and better powder to see if it was just a fluke. The bullets are phenomenally accurate and consistent.

This bullet has always ...

This bullet has always come out close to the top, if not the best, in .223 and .22-250 rifles I've used. I've generally used W-748 and H335 powders, but have seen where others have had excellent results with 20 to 22 grains of IMR4198. Beware--newer manuals show a max of around 21 grains with commercial cases.If you use a progressive press such as the Dillon 550, these boattail bullets sure are easy to quickly place in the case mouths before running them up into the seating die.
