MatchKing rifle bullets are super-accurate bullets with very thin jackets and are held to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight. Their accuracy has been acclaimed worldwide and they have been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined. Weight retention is held to within +/- 0.3 grain. Each bullet is a hollow point and is designed with a very small meplat in order to achieve the highest ballistic coefficient possible. This is not loaded ammunition.

This goes on top of a .280 Ackley Improved. The tips must be finished with a file to get the desired shape of the cone tip, not a big deal; it's like old school.

With the right powder and barrel length, you can get a true 3000 f/s at the muzzle and the retention of both accuracy and precision well past 1000 yards.

The price is very right given the extra weight as well.

You got to launch a 230 grain .30 cal at the same speed to get close to this 7mm but that at the expenses of either much more recoil or a muzzle brake, 80% more expensive bullets, 2X more expensive brass, and nearly twice the powder, if cash matters, otherwise the full .30 is just awesome.

It is hard to beat this 7mm as a handloader and also in terms of overall efficiency.

Welcome competition to the Berger 7mm 180 gr VLD bullet at much better price. I would like Sierra to make this bullet with plastic tip as Hornady A-Max has. Bullets in the box that I received had abut .012" spread in ogive dimension and it looked like they come from three different dies so I had to sort them by size in three groups I hope that next lot will better also I can not find lot # on the box. It looks like I will switch from Berger 180 gr VLD to Sierra's 180 gr if Sierra will keep to shoot good for me, I am a 600 y and 1000 y F-Class shooter I am also Match Director for 600y F-Class Match.
