Very well designed, ...

Very well designed, interesting approach compared to other speedloaders.At first it was tricky trying to use it, but once I figured out the trick to it, I absolutely love it.The thing that worked for me, was to squeeze it very slightly as you load, it will move the rounds a bit and not require the exact alignment, they drop right in. The narrow handle is awesome in not getting hung up on the frame like other speedloaders I've tried.

I purchased a pair of ...

I purchased a pair of these early 2008 for my Colt Detective Special and am well pleased. As stated "handy and economical"... These are obviously not intended for competition shooting and shouldn't be judged for that use. They are a bit unorthodox looking and design at first but so far, mine have held my .38 spl rounds quite securly. I found that the design works quite well once you get used to it. I don't and wouldn't carry these in my pocket, Bianchi strips are fine for that, I would recommend a pouch for these or, as I do, carry them in my EDC (MURSE). To load your cylinder, align, drop and pull rearward, done!

Difficult to use and they ...

Difficult to use and they won't hold rounds securely. Every time I carry them in my pocket 1 or 2 rounds fall out. I much prefer HKS speed loaders for their security. If you need a fast speedloader for competition get the Safariland.

I looked for a speed ...

I looked for a speed loader for my small revolver for some time. They all bound on the frame or the handle. This loader takes some practice to get right, but it loads quickly once you get the hang of it. I recommend purchasing snap caps to practice with until you get the hang of it.

This is a great product. ...

This is a great product. The alignment to cylinder was easy and solid. It fits my S&W642 with Crimson laser grips very well. I found it easier to reload with these than the Safariland or HKS. Both of those hung up at the grip. This has a small flat oposite the finger pull to help clear the frame or grip. If you place this on your first finger with rounds across knuckles and slide the rounds into cylinder, then use your left thumb against frame, and push away with thumb, this releases the rounds quickly and easily. I dont even look at it to align it any more. Absolutely fantastic. My brother even wants some for his.

The only speedloader that ...

The only speedloader that works with .357 rounds in my SP-101. No other loader will clear the thumb swell of my preferred grips with magnum ammo. It took a bit of practice to get used to the Maxfire speedloaders, but I'm a convert! The only thing that prevented me from giving a 5-star rating to this product is the stress it puts on the crane when pulling the loader off the rounds. With the beefy Ruger it isn't a problem, but an air weight revolver might be a different story.
