Constructed of high-strength, lightweight, aluminum with a corrosion-resistant finish, the PoleCats feature legs that quickly telescope, then lock rigidly in place with a simple half-twist. Legs are furnished with rubber tips that can be removed to expose carbide field points. Polymer yoke holds any gunstock up to 3" wide, including all handguns, shotguns, rifles and muzzle-loaders in any caliber from .22 rimfire to big bore centerfires.

I used this bipod in ...

I used this bipod in South Africa, shooting a Large Lion and Giraffe off them. The Professional Hunters loved them, so I gave them to them for a gift, so I'm ordering more. Lightweight, easy to use. They usually don't cause noise. They fell out of the truck, were covered in sand and dust, banged around in the truck, and worked well despite all. You might as well save the clip for storage, as it falls off in the field, but isn't necessary.

Light weight, easy to ...

Light weight, easy to adjust with a quarter turn from lock to unlock. Good size feet do not sink into the ground more than a tad. I am not as steady as I use to be and am slow at kneeling. Can shoot steady while standing. Worth every penny.

I used mine for the first ...

I used mine for the first time the other day. I was varmit hunting in hilly terrain. I would hunt a valley, then walk over the ridge to the next valley. The Expedition was perfect for that use. I shouldered my rifle and used the Stoney Point as a walking stick when walking. No added weight on the gun (or my shoulder) like an attached bipod would be. Adjustments from standing height to kneeling and sitting height were fast and positive. Flexibility was great. I had a lot more "pan and tilt" room than an attached bipod would give. Steadiness was perfectly adequate, and I was satisfied with my ability to make the longer shots. Very pleased.

I use the polecat for ...

I use the polecat for hunting everything with my rife or single action revolver. I guess I would not go out with out it. I also use it to sight in with. Just sit in a chair or stool, level the bipod and you are ready to sight in. Also this bipod has been in the snow, dirt, rain, dropped, stepped on and still works like it did when it was new. Get it, you'll love it.
