This is a great hat! When it arrived I was a little disappointed that it had a polyester (or something) liner or shell in it. Seemed like it would be cold if you put it on while out in the weather (there is nothing like the feeling of putting on a warm fleece beanie in cold weather). After using this hat in the field however, I found that the liner or shell offers AWESOME wind protection as well as the warmth of microfiber fleece. Great deal on a great hat!

It's a nice hat, with a black nylon or rayon liner. It's just a bit big, and I have a relatively large head; however, with this in a pocket and an orange ball cap on my head while hiking out to my honey hole, I can fit this easily over the cap when I get there & cool down whilst sitting. Insulates well even when wet, without the care requirements of wool. Haven't seen one this nice at this price in any retail store! The Hornady logo is nicely embroidered, too.
