Winchester Super-X Slugs provide devastating stopping power and superior slug performance. BRI Sabots are hourglass shaped lead slugs inside of a plastic sabot delivering outstanding accuracy and expansion. Designed specifically for smooth bore barrels but can also be used in rifled choke tube barrels or fully rifled barrels.

The BRI Sabot is the best ...

The BRI Sabot is the best slug I've ever used, bar none! This .50 Sabot is powerful and most of all super accurate. I've tested many other sabots but none as good as these. 120+ yard drop them in their tracks accuracy and energy. In over 15 years of using them only ever recovered one and the expansion was amazing.

Shot a cow moose 2 years ...

Shot a cow moose 2 years ago with this ammo. 80 yards facing me. Slug went in her chest and stuck in last rib. Never expanded much but they are 50 cal. to begin with!! Moose are big and penetration is key. This ammo works well.

I have used these slugs ...

I have used these slugs for years. I get MOA groups without the punishment (to me) of the other "super slugs" on the market today. As far as performance I just made a 100 yd shot on an eight point buck, he dropped where he stood. This slug penetrated a shoulder, neck, and exited out the opposite shoulder, all from one hundred yards. Rifle like accuracy, penetration, knock down power and with a very tolerable recoil, if I had any concerns about being pounded when I pulled the trigger it would show up on longer shots like this, it doesn't. In all the years I've used these slugs I have never experienced a problem at any level with them, and I've hung on to a few for several years and they still perform flawlessly.

I am using these in a ...

I am using these in a 11-87 super magnum with a fully-rifled barrel. I get 2'' groups at 50yards and 4.5'' groups at 100yards with rifled sights. After trying other brands these worked the best for me!

I have the best luck with ...

I have the best luck with these slugs over any other. The accuracy is rifle-like to 100 yards (haven't needed to shoot any farther). I shoot a Rem 11-87 12 with a Hastings rifled barrel, scope and synthetic stock with a vertical pistol grip. All that with this ammo makes my slug-gun a short range 'rifle' that works well. Recoil from the BRIs is nominal and I'm comfortable shooting targets in the prone, and sometimes making three shots touch at 50 yards. I hope they never discontinue this ammo.
