I filled these bottles up ...

I filled these bottles up with Ballistol gun oil. No leaks or spills or anything of that nature. I wanted something that would make it easier than the aerosol can of ballistol to apply oil to my gun. These did not work as I planned. As soon as I turn them upside down it begins dripping out without any control. Instead I used the pipets that can be purchased from here as well and cheaper too. Much better control and more precision in placement.

These really help with the giant bottle of Hoppe's Bore Cleaning Solvent. Haven't had any leaks with them at all and they make cleaning a breeze. They also come with screw on caps as well.

Good bottles, very handy to put Hoppes 9 in instead of dunking patches in the bottle it comes in.Bottle top can get a bit messy with use, but it's unavoidable.Not sure what others are complaining about when it comes to flow, since it flows pretty well from the bottle and can be controlled.Storing with the flip top caps, you can still smell the cleaning solvevent, but it also comes with normal caps that are good for storage.Overall great product.

Use it for carrying Butches Bore Shine, LSA and Hoppes #9 with me to the range and THEY DO NOT LEAK. Kind of pricey but they do the job perfectly.

These bottles are great and do exactly what they're designed to do. I've had 3 of these bottles for at least 4 years. I've filled them with various solvents and never had a leak. They are perfect for applying solvent to patches. I use them to soak a bore mop which how I apply solvent to the bore of my rifles and handguns. It's unfair to complain that you can't get a "controlled" application of solvent. They simply aren't designed for that and don't claim to have that ability. If you want that much control, get a needle applicator. They work perfectly for what they're designed to do. I highly recommend them and am going to purchase more.

The bottle tops will not ...

The bottle tops will not seal. If they lay sideways as they did in my range bag, they will leak out everything thats in them. Butches Bore Shine spilled in your range bag is not a good thing.

These are not anything like I expected; although in retrospect I am not really sure why I expected differently. The bottles are long and skinny, height without cap is approx 4.875", and diameter is approx 1.625". There are 3 bottles and 6 tops in the package--3 standard tops and 3 flip tops--which is really nice. The bottles do not leak, at least they have not yet. I do not understand the other reviewers who say the fluid dumps out and cannot be controlled when you flip the bottle; using the flip tops, NOTHING comes out at all unless I squeeze the bottle. Maybe it is because I live on the coast where there is more air pressure than, say, in the Rockies? All in all, a very useful product.

These are good little bottles that do what they say. I store acetone, motor oil, and militec-1 in them and they seem to work well. The flip tops dont seem to leak either.

This bottle works really good & I've not had one leak on me yet! I have 3 in my cleaning kit all the time laying on there side & they don't leak.Will buy more then needed!!!
