Simply do not bother with ...

Simply do not bother with is. I have tried two of them. Both broke qucikly. The ratchet system sounds good, but in reality is very weak. The excellent brush will seat so firmly in the chamber that there is not enough leverage, or strength, in the design to allow for extraction. Two times I required a dowel to tap it out from the muzzel end. Is zero stars an option? Nothing is better than the original GI chamber brush designed for the M1; they work through the top very nicely. I wish new ones were made!

Brush stripped free from ...

Brush stripped free from ratcheted handle after fewer than 5 uses. I like the idea but the product needs to be more durable for even light to average cleaning use.

Screw a threaded cleaning ...

Screw a threaded cleaning rod in the side of the back part and use the ratcheting action. However, I broke it on the first try in an M1 Garand - go easy, it's hard to get out. Best bet is to tie a nylon string at the base of the brush to pull it out of the chamber. I tried backing it out using the cleaning rod and busted it.

Plastic ratcheting ...

Plastic ratcheting sections broke the first time I tried to remove from my M1. It is a good concept but the plastic is too weak. Don't waste your money.
