I have used it on 12, 20 and .410 shotguns without a problem. I have used it several times a year for the last 4 years. Take your time, it will do the job properly and your customers will be satisfied.

Its a bit tricky on the ...

Its a bit tricky on the first stake but after the latch holds itself its a breeze, I put a small piece of cardboard between the bar and outer receiver wall to keep it from rubbing. Its important to keep in mind that you don't need to torque it too much, it only takes a bit of metal to stake it, do it too much on the upper portion and you will cause your action bars to bind in the rear of the receiver.

This tool was not a good ...

This tool was not a good fit with my Remington Model 1100 LT-20. The positioning bolt is too small in diameter to hold it in the correct position with the bevel of the bottom of the receiver.

It's one of those hard to find tools that you don't need very often...but it's sure nice to have when you need it!!! Especially at a registered shoot when you're cleaning your gun and the spring falls out on the ground!!

As Bert L said, the adjustment bolt doesn't fit the receiver properly. This is a poorly designed tool.
